Nice try, Envirophone
Got a new Samsung Galaxy S3 (amazing, btw) a couple of months ago and decided to flog the old handset.
Best quote was Envirofone at £53. Sent the phone and a couple of days later got an email saying due to a damaged battery cover they would only pay £31. I knew there was no damage when i sent it other than the usual scuffs a handset gets over two years use so i refused the offer and had the phone returned. Once back in my possesion, hey presto, no damage. I have since sent the handset to Mazuma who within hours of receiving it, posted me a cheque for £50. Suck on that Envirophone. Having searched online, it seems this is a regular thing with Envirophone. The funny thing is, that i actually sent 2 handsets to envirofone in that first instance as i had an older phone i had kept as backup to a nokia smartphone, which was crap so i reverted to the older phone. Envirophone offered £7 for it and paid in full despite there being damage to the battery cover! Moral of the tale, for me at least is dont necessarily go with the highest quote. |
