The General Hospital closing credits - i want to listen to the ENTIRE theme abc1!!!!

I absolutely adore the closing theme of General Hospital, I think its my very favorite in the world. Just so fabulous to listen to:

www.wost.org/gh93ct.ram

its so sweeping, so epic, so catchy and all, everything a soap opera theme should be. I really wish abc1 would run the entire credit sequence at the end, i want to hear this at the end of an episode!!! Its not like abc1 run adverts, they run the same ones over and over for their shows, they can afford 2 minutes extra for GH's end credits!!! Especially at the end of a tragic episode, the theme is just handy like that!

Im starting to like General Hospital.

It has taken me ages to get into it though so someone who is not really into US soaps will have a very difficult job.

They are about to change the theme anyway.

The new GH theme has grown on my a lot as i didn't really like it at first. Im still not sure about the opening sequence though, apart from Carly's shot where the camera starts from her legs, works up and then switches to show her face.

How long are we going to have to wait until ABC1 joins NTL!??

i dont like the new GH theme much! Its nothing compared to Faces of the Heart (the theme running since 1993 till this year). I guess change is refreshing and all but still..

ok people - COMPARE

Which of these three is best?!

I'll have to got with the current one!
After watching it again, i love the part of the actual sequence at 37 seconds where the 3 characters are in a line from back to front.

The new theme is less cheesey, but the awful Sonny Carinthos or should i say "Son Carin" doesn't look like he's going anywhere fast.

they actually released Faces of the Heart, much like Simon May released the EE theme. And the promo video starred Emma Samms (Holly Sutton GH, Fallon, Dynasty).

Following on from your best GH theme post, iv made one of the best opening 2004

I think i'v got the Faces of the Heart tune on the PC, by Dave Koz isn't it? Wasn't it released Before it became the theme tune for GH?

it was done especially for GH, released in the same year.

I've just found it, its a nice piece of music

By the way, GH has never run the entire theme to Face of the Heart in the states or anywhere else either...for the closing credits theyd either use the first minute of the theme and fade it out or use the last 30 seconds of it. Its not Abc1's fault, its their parent company, ABC's fault.

And I beleive Dave Koz plays the sax in both themes.
