I used to really like Claire but she is the definition of a professional victim. It was so disappointing to see her go the zlist route when promoting her autobiography by talking about sleazy encounters with people like Peter Andre. She is actually a talented singer...what a waste.

I'd have far more respect for her if she said 'oh, fk it. I'm staying like this' and did, rather than losing the weight and getting paid for doing a diet DVD.

She might be overweight, but she isn't grossly so and she's very pretty. She needs to ditch the tight fitting jeans and leggings and wear something more flattering though.

It's a real shame though because unlike all these other zlisters who have nothing to offer but the "juicy" details of their private lives, Claire has real talent as a singer. I can't believe she can't get ANY work singing. Maybe she really does prefer the easier route of money making by being a zeleb. It's really sad.

I couldn't agree more. Who asked her to pose nude in the paper, who forced her to do several tv programmes banging on about her weight. I'm heartily sick of her and her never ending commentaryabout her weight.

It is sad I agree but lots of talented singers can't earn a living. Looks are also part of the package whether you like it or not. I wish she would just settle down with her family and stop informing us every time she gains or loses a pound or two.

claire has now moved on from the weight thing it's the celeb mags that won't let her I know she is overweight but what's the point of dieting if you can't keep the weight off.

Absolutely right. 2,000 calories a day for a woman is the MAXIMUM guideline. Generally, it's between 1,200 to 1,500 a day to remain at a healthy weight.

She looks awful, there, I've said it, nothing wrong with being a bit bigger than average if it's your natural size and shape, and it suits you, and no doubt she has a pretty face, but she looks bloated, unhealthy and unhappy.

What example is she setting to her kids - she's clearly not eating healthily, because she surely must get exercise with Steps (if they're still touring??) or at the very least running around after two children. I have a full time office job, a one year old and no time to visit the gym but I'm still a reasonable 12-14 at 5 foot 9. Not because I'm 'naturally meant' to be like that but because it doesn't take a genius to work out that eating a banana rather than a mars bar or walking to the shop rather than driving is a sensible minor change and better for your health.

Let's face it if OK magazine gave her a weekly dieting column or if she got another DVD deal she'd be eating veg and going to boot camp until she was a size 10, no fear.

This woman is an insufferable and cretinous bore. She has a good singing voice and could easily make more of it; instead she decides to be a poster girl for fat women with all this disingenuous nonsense about 'loving my curves' blah blah blah. She's clearly deeply unhappy and desperate for attention.
