Emmerdale - Alex Moss Future
Just wondering what the Alex/Moira fling will actually mean for the future of Alex...Adam is bound to find out sooner or later (mind you even if it was right infront of his face he'd still miss it...) but i saw this teaser/spoiler for September on the Emmerdaily website..
Spoiler
Is this the end of Pointless Alex? |

It's hard to imagine that the lovely Moira would let her son go just for the sake of a roll in the hay with Scouseferatu, but with ED these days, who knows?
More to the point, if either one of them goes who is going to carry on this global farming enterprise??

I know he's Superman in (almost) human form, but....but.... wouldn't it be a tad much for just one man? He's only (almost) human you know.

i think they should make alex and moira a long term couple instead of just another affair now that would be a first, a couple that actually stay together regardless of all the ridicule they will get from the villagers, older women younger men does happen in real life.

Alex Moss has had sex with Moira and Hannah Barton which ED bosses seem to forget. Not really sure of the point of Alex really.
I like Moira and I think Adam Barton can be redeemed after his selfish ways as of late. He was nice at the start and reminded me of Darren Eden who used to be in it. Andy Sugden is in it forever unless Kelvin quits. He holds the Emmerdales original family name. I would have liked departed John Bartons dad t have been Jack Sugden and for the Bartons to integrate into the village more. The family needs some new family members for that family feel again. |

I don't understand why people keep questioning the 'point' of Alex. Does he have less 'point' than any other character? I like him and think he gets a rough time of it on DS. He used to be irritating but since then he's rounded out quite nicely into a normal, likable guy.

Calling him 'farm boy' in a derogatory sense is ignorant. He works very hard on the farm, and for nothing at times. It's a good honest job and does not deserve to be looked down on and ridiculed by people on here who cannot all be quantum physicists, or even employed. |

Alex does not deserve Moira. He's an immature plank.
...and it's funny how Victoria Sugden believes "It's his loss". All that girl does is nag, whinge and moan. |

I also don't get why people keep calling him a 'thug' and 'farm boy'. He is NOT a thug. Who has he ever hit? He is kind and caring.

He wasnt kind or caring when he humilated poor Ashley when he was working in that burger joint and then when he was being a little tosser by trying to bait him into a fight in the Woolpack! He is pretty much near the top of the list of the most pointless soap characters ever!

You still haven't actually explained what qualifies him as 'pointless'.

What is the point of Lizzie? Other than a token disabled lady. Alex gets a lot of stick.
