..... her up from the beginning. So I believe they are completely responsible for what happened.

It occured to me as she described her entrance to the house and the whole nominations thing that Deana may not have had quite so much trouble if she had not been the one picked on to do the task.

Oh yes, I've considered that before. I do think part of the reason they backed Conor and threw Deana to the wolves was because they didn't want to be blamed for causing the trouble between them by making her nominate on the first night.

I am sure whoever had been the first in the house and whom would of had to carry out the first nomination twist would of had some sort of backlash from one or more of the others.....................Connor would of been just as aggressive and a knob whoever it was..............he doesn't do rejection. I'm not absolutely sure he is racist though and that being the reason for his attitude towards Deanna.....

He is not a nice man, he deffo thinks he has the looks and charm to capture any woman and if I was to make a judgement about Conor then it would be he doesn't like to be belittle by a woman in front of his peers and I am sure he is more a Chauvinist pig than a racist one. I'm sure on his interview with Brian he mentioned her having income and a business and why was she doing BB...............when there is he with no job, living at home etc etc.............Greeneyed twonk toboot.

Yes a few of the HMs passed comments on why she was there as she is already successful.
Also that she was a business woman. They also criticsied her looks saying she was plain.
Jealousy was very evident IMO.

First night nominations:

Deanna's first, trying to be tactful, reason for nominating Conor was that she hadn't spoken to him much.

Big brother would not accept this as a valid reason and demanded another.

Deanna then had to say that her reason was because he did not make an effort to talk to her.

When Brian questioned her in her exit interview she said that it was awkward that first night as he seemed to be ignoring her.

Any later disclaimers to the effect that he resented her being there because of her financial status are obviously damage limitation.

And yet this reason was acceptable when a couple of housemates nominated in face to face nominations in this year's Celebrity Big Brother. I'd say the producers were wanting a cruel series of Big Brother this year with Conor as the ringleader.

It's disgusting that the producers STILL haven't apologised to Deana.

Pleasure - I do find one takes more of the details in when reading it rather than listening to it.

I doubt very much if they will ever apologise, doing so would imply that they were at fault and she could probably prosecute.

No they were not I agree.............so ask youself why not\/

Could it possibly be that Luke being in a relationship with Ash whom we know Conor liked and Sara was more a friend of Ashes in the early days and definately before the rant...........might have something to do with it. We do have to remember that they have to keep a certain number on side to survive in that house. And Conor was encouraged and coerced to a degree by Ash and others to vent his frustrations towards Deana..............saying that let me make this clear.............I do not and have never condoned Conors behaviour...........it was replusive in its extreme and one of the most awful scenes I have witnessed on BB...................I just have this niggle that if he was the 'r' word then..........during that tirade we would of witnessed some other language/word, unless of course they may of been edited out and that we will never know......but from what I saw he was peeking to his full aggressive state............and which I thought deserved more than a warning as it was threatening behaviour at its max......and whether it was not to the face of the person that it was meant for mattered little imo....................it was bang out of order. he is a bully and imo BB condoned his bullying which was wrong but I am not sure they would of condoned his racial tendencies.

I do think that there was other member/s of that household that displayed more racial tendencies towards her............I found Becky's comment 'she's disgusting' very suspect. And not jealousy of Deanas wealth or success.............same with Ash, Scott & Caroline..

Thank you I think you have summed it up nicely. What is a surprise to me is that the producers opened the door to criticism by not evicting him and put themselves in a very odd position. I still can't figure out why.

I think there are perhaps two reasons. Firstly, because it would be an open admission from BB that what he said was totally unacceptable, evicting him would cause a comparative negative PR media storm, bringing up very awkward memories of Shilpa's treatment on CBB and its stench of racism and bullying which they would far rather forget and pretend would never happen again. Uncomfortable questions would then be rightly asked about why he was chosen in the first place etc. Much better to just brush it under the carpet and hope everyone forgets...

Secondly, because they thought he had potential to become a Celeb Mag-baiting "The Only Way Is Derry"/"Ulster Shore" "bad boy with a heart of gold type" (as they called him themselves!) character who would generate further publicity for BB, and perhaps even get a spin-off show from them if he did well.
