Eastenders is to feather one of its most shocking plots to date next year as life hits home to the innocent and pure Lucy Beale it all starts when Stacey turns her attention from Zoe to Lucy. Stacey will try to lead Lucy astray in an attempt to get her hands on Ian's money however things will go very wrong and by Spring Stacey will be left reeling by her actions and Lucy will be left more alone than ever.

It all kicks of on 4th January.

I wonder what is going to happen to Lucy?

Sounds rather silly...Stacey is what 16? and Lucy is 12/13? Trying to steal Ian's money? Sounds very laughable at the moment

Yeah it does. She just doesn't have any real depth to her, all she does is going round scheming and trying to act evil

This might be true as there is talk of it in the spoilers for that week, Maybe Stacey becomes friends with Lucy then gets her to pinch money from Ian whatever happens I hope Lucy is not going to get abused or something.

For that week it just says Lucy Beale earns Stacey’s respect when she refuses to be told what to do. Is this the start of Lucy becoming Walford’s latest young tearaway?

Maybe what happens to Lucy Beale as a result of Stacey's actions is the turning point for Stacey. As always I'll give it a chance before I write it off.

You're happy enough to think they're going to be great when you've not even seen them

Double standards love

The only way EE can have good young characters is if they develop them and give them their own identity rather than having all of them with the same kind of characteristics!

Yeah I agree Safra, much of the younger EastEnders cast are interchangeable which is a shame because young cast members can offer a lot.

EE had the first child actor to become big in a soap in the 90's with Sonia after the Jackson left they brought her back because so many people loved her.

May I refer you to Lucille Hewitt of Coronation Street, she first appeared in 1960 at the age of 11 and remained in the show until adulthood when she left in 1974

Sonia is great though, not many child actors "do a Sonia" and make it from child actor to adult actor. Natalie Cassidy is a credit to EastEnders

Is this an actual spoiler or one of those fake ones as are very often posted on the BBC Boards?

Why two HIV storylines at once? We have Violet's too on Corrie. If this is true its suspicious, things like this always happen, mirroring storylines.

I think involving a child in such a storyline might be a little bit risky. I don't imagine viewers will want to see a child get HIV and also will the actress be able to pull off such a storyline?
