it is weird how backward its all gone now in the Music world.
genuinely shocking things....like actual violence, actual sexual politics, actual grit doesnt make for sales anymore....whereas marketable "shock" can sell...oh look i am wearing half a disco ball on my head i am weird, oh look im being daring but being safe.
Its crap! i always want full on, whether it makes for sales or not i really want full on what the artist wants to get across, or if you wanna be smutty, if you wanna be sexual, if you wanna be provocative do it like old skool or dont do it at all.

I'm not sure how singing "I want to f*ck your body" is being provocative or daring in this day and age
- I know what you mean Josh, we live in a pretty safe and conservative society at the moment and the Music world doesn't give much room for real audacity, and yes, the scene is full acts who think of themselves alternative because of their wacky dressing up and/or recycling of old ideas that have been explored over and over...But I don't think Xtina's new song is anything different from the safe "shock" formula that current acts use to sound/look exciting and new. I actually like the song; it's got a great groove, it sounds sexy with attitude but somehow I just can't take Xtina seriously as soon as she sings the chorus...

They are releasing both clean and explicit versions. I think it's great because they will see which one gathers more sales and it makes more money. I really wish that people would know what they're talking about before saying I hate this song just because she swears in it! I've given up on Ds Forum so I've moved to ATRl.
I don't think we'll get the official version now until she performs it on The Voice! If anything we'll get the single cover but deffinitely not the video until after The Voice!

Love love love the beat to the demo version. I hope the urge to add "Guetta" like beats to the final version will be avoided. It works really well the way it is. Those kind of dance beats would cheapen the effect of the song.
I keep seeing that some Xtina fans are saying she'll perform it in the first actual show next week? But arent the first shows just auditions? How's that work out? They got it confused with the first live show?

It's going to be pre-recorded. She has taped the performance and Carson, the host of the show, has pre-recorded the introduction to the performance, so it won't be difficult to include it in the Blind Auditions episode. They'll just edit it properly.
The performance will air on September 10th or September 17th. It hasn't been confirmed yet.

Oh ok thanks I was confused how it was gonna be part of an auditions show look forward to it. I guess it's released soon then if she's performing next week?
It's so good. The HQ version is brilliant. Am hoping the final version is slightly different though.

I'm well aware of what I'm talking about. I'm also well aware that I can have my own opinion. I figured there was a clean and a normal version of the song. But seeing as the normal version is the only one out there... that's what I'll base my opinion on.
I also said it was growing on me, swear word aside.
