Morning All , I really don't get when people say the stendan storyline was over long again?? it was never finished we never had an ending they were just left on the side. What do they expect when they leave a strory unfinished, people are going to want an ending.

Ready! ![]() Quote:
YES! Except longer and with an acoustic guitar so it can smash it many, many more little pieces.

That's lovely.

I don't really get the spoilers.
I don't get how they're going to show that Ste's dead depressed over this Doug stuff when he's been looking like he couldn't give a toss. ![]() ![]() I'm hoping we're seeing Brendan that week as well and they work his feelings for him in there somewhere. It's going to be very weird. I hate this plot. Oi miss Brendan. ![]() And I just realised that the Theresa and Dodger scenes with him haven't aired yet. Hmmm, I say. |

Although I know that PJ and Kieron were filming the wedding stuff quite recently a few weeks ago, so maybe they'll have worked some stuff in there that makes sense with what we've been seeing. And yeah, same. It'd make no sense otherwise, with the reason that they want to get Brendan out of their lives. He's not even in their lives. That can't stand as any reason for anything. |

I hope so. At the very least, I'd rather thy feign that they're totally broke (although they aren't) than try this Brendan excuse any further. It makes them both look... really, really weird and money-hungry. ![]() It annoys me that they're determined to go through with the plot itself but it'll annoy me even more if they ignore the obvious problems with the way they're telling it. Mind you, they've avoided it so far so why am I expecting any different.

Mind you, they've avoided it so far so why am I expecting any different. ![]() Though frankly, I'd rather them not involve him in this to try and make sense of their behaviour cos I don't want Brendan dragged through the mud for no reason. Of course, like you, I'd rather this plot wasn't happening at all. ![]() Quote:
I'm not going to justify that with an answer

The lease cost them £65,000 in the end, and Doug had already had £80,000 from Brendan. Maybe they'd made one loan repayment before Ste got it written off, which would have eaten a bit of the money, but even if they'd spent the whole balance on shopfitting and the initial stock, their overheads are negligible compared with most shops, because the biggest outgoing is always the rent/lease. If they're not breaking even, I bet that bank manager is extremely relieved that he never loaned them the money, because their business plan was obviously crap. |

The fact is, it doesn't make any sense. They're not broke, Doug went on about repairing the deli when the next day it was totally fine (which made zero sense cos it was an absolute mess!) so they have enough money, they don't need it to get Brendan out of their lives cos he's hardly in them and whenever he is now, it's usually by Ste's doing because he's the one who keeps the conversation going and/or stops to talk to him.
HOs need to realize when something doesn't add up, and isn't working. But they refuse to with this, because it's Stug. |

I don't see how they can be broke enough to scam Doug's grandmother.
