BBC Four has picked up Parks and Recreation
This is good news because I can watch it for the first time:

I caught a few minutes of the very first episode and noticed it's one of those "Office" style faux reality shows which I can't really get on with so I wasn't keen.
I like Amy Poehler though so I might series link it and stack up a few episodes and give it another chance. |

I'm just afraid that people are going to not give it a chance because the first season might not meet up to the hype that they've heard about it |

I've heard a lot about this show, so glad I'll be able to see how good it really is.

Seems an odd channel to put it on, but if it's a good show, it doesn't matter too much.

Odd channel choice but about bloody time it aired over here.
Such a hilarious show. The whole cast are just brilliant, would suit BBC3 more though, it's kind of the style of Summer Heights High and Angry Boys. |

Since no other channels have shown even a hint of interest I suspect they got it cheap.
I think it would get awful ratings whoever showed it but at least BBC4 has low expectations. |

I wouldn't say BBC4 is such an odd place for it to be, they aired Flight of the Conchords so they have aired US comedy in the past. I think it certainly fits BBC4 more than BBC3 anyway.
They will also most likely have low expectations, and given that it's probably cheap, I can see BBC keeping it until it ends. |

I just hope they don't drop it after the first season if ratings aren't amazing. I'm surprised a few other channels like Sky, 5USA or Comedy Central haven't been interested in the show. |

It seems the BBC have deleted their post about Parks and Recreation from their website and the showreel video showing new programs to air doesn't include a clip for Parks and Recreation. We should wait and see until its been confirmed properly.

If the show does get picked up and does well on BBC4, I can probably see them repeating it on BBC2.

Fantastic show!
Hope this paves the way for a UK DVD release. |

This show is very likeable and amusing but it very rarely has the same hilarity that the earlier Office episodes had.
