o2 Active Menu Problems
Hi,
This is an application i want just for the sake of it really and also so i can have pretty links to click for downloads etc. Anyway, the thing is i have managed to install this once when i first moved to o2 but then uninstalled it because of MMC problems. So now, when i go to the link from the network message i recieve to download it it doesn't work. The application installs but then the second phase of it just instantly says installation failed and sometimes it just gets stuck on the download page once it has installed. Does anybody know if there is a like to the SIS file so i can install it manually or if anybody else has had this problem? I have emailed o2 but somehow have a feeling they will just send me the network message to download it again or tell me to try again. I also don't like the idea of paying 40p (per minute?) so speak to somebody. Thanks.

Unfortunately the O2 Active Menu isn't just a SIS file. A SIS file does download but then this downloads other parts. It sounds like the first part is downloading ok, in which case it will automatically re-try to download the rest. It will keep doing it every couple of hours until it downloads. I would advise you to try again early evening and leave it overnight to download the rest. You can still use the phone for calls, texts etc.
The other scenario is that you didn't properly uninstall the first version. This would be very difficult to solve. You would have to re-format c: and re-install the system apps. You probably wouldn't want to do this yourself! |
