anti virus for tablet?
Anika Hanson

Hi,

I've just bought at galaxy tab 2 10.1 and at the moment I'm running AV virus protection and trust go.

Do I need something more than this?

I've got a kapersky subscription which allows me to add protection to a tablet too. Is it worth adding this as well?

Thanks in advance

It really depends what you plan to do with your Tablet. If you only install apps from the google play site, you're very unlikely to get a Trojan/virus.

If you are more 'off road' in your usage, it might be worth using it as its free for you anyway.

I'll admit I don't bother with av. If you are installing apps just check previous reviews and check what the app is asking for access to ....

For example a game asking for access to making calls should be avoided

I did use avast for a while and it seemed OK. (I use avast on my PCs)

Thanks for your replies. I only install things from Google play so I will sitck to the ones I already have. The trust go always alerts me when apps are asking for unusual permissions anyway but I do check before I download apps.
