Me thinks it will be slightly biased since its in America. Oh dear:- Details are still being read out, but several of Samsung's devices have been found to have infringed Apple's software and design patents. |

I found the 22 page doc very interesting that the jury had to fill in during the week.
I also was shocked at the hollywood nonsense the lawyers were spouting at the closing statements the other day. |

The main problem is putting clueless general public on the jury in the first place. They took 21 hours to consider a few weeks testimony!
Meanwhile, it seems Samsung have been found guilty on several counts. Jury leaves court wth new ipads, iphones and a few $$ in their back pockets

Damages from Samsung to Apple, zero. Wow.
Samsung should have settled this out of court. |

Well apple wanted 2.5bn (cos they need it ?) And got just over 1 ....
The result does seem very quick and very one sided. I wonder if this will cause Google/Motorola to roll out some of the big gun patents ? |

Samsung knew this was coming, looking at the internal
documents over the trial they were hell bent in 'copying' the iPhone. They have learned there lesson with their new products SIII and TouchWiz has changed. But Apple are restricting the market, no question. More importantly were does this leave Google with Android? Apple are taking them to court and it will probably have the same result. |

I think it will go to appeal.
I still find the whole thing hilarious though and think Apple have shot themselves in the foot. They may get some money but, in the long run they have shown they are a bunch of absolute tossers and it will put people off buying them. |

I think they will put people off buying any more from them, if they were stuck in the middle.
This whole case is a joke because Samsung already had designs announced before the original iphone came out. Then there is the whole patents being obvious thing that shouldn't have even been registered. There are so many things wrong with phone patents in the world atm. |

I'm not a advocate for Apple at all but did any off you (who say Apple is the 'bad guy') see Samsung's documents when the iPhone was released, they changed the design, icons, buttons on the original S to compete with the iPhone.
It was blatant copying. Breaking down each and every part of iOS to make it look the same in TouchWiz. http://www.theverge.com/2012/8/8/322...ce-improvement |
