We are sick as a group of US soaps fans of being put into brackets, put down and told by some that there is no room on the board for us, told that our posts should be put in seperate sub forum to make more room for 'organisaton' or other such nonsense.

We have every right to be here. General Hospital is now screened in the UK, as other foreign imports are, Sunset Beach is being re-run, we DO exist as fans, whether you like it or not.

Please do not kick us off this board for a sub board, it is simply not fair, we are being bullied to go away.

I love posting about US and UK soaps, i liek contrasting them and talking to others about them. Why should I have to stop just because X or Y or whoever don't like it, because its not in line with their views or their wants??? They don't run the board for heaven's sake. I don't fall in line with such fascist points of view. Its like sending us to prison camps because they want a clean Aryan state for your UK soaps and don't want any of us dirty people talking about US soaps.

Well... tough.

Thank you, Ms Hart.

Not meaning to have a go, but I think the Auschwitz comparison is going just a bit over the top. I do realise you're upset, but err, you have gone a bit far in your final paragraph.

As i said in the other thread, this is a soap board for discussion of soaps no matter where they come from!
For those that don't like US Soaps, then you don't have to read the threads.

I like the fact that seeing as this board is very popular we are meeting more and more US soaps fans to talk about them with and it just wouldn't be fair if we were shunted off to another board, especially for those who like UK soaps as well!

I don't watch any US soaps but it doesn't bother me if people want to discuss them on here. If I know a thread is about a soap that I don't watch then I don't read it. It's not difficult to ignore threads as long as the subject is visible in the title.

Safra I'm referring to dragging US soaps into UK discussions. I do not own a crystal ball, I do not know when a US-soap-lover will enter a British soap thread and begin to rant about how much better the US soap is than the British soap/storyline.

If they stick to US threads for US discussion, we wouldn't be having this debate.

I do not watch US soaps, as do a lot of people, so we cannot disagree with notions that slant towards US soaps and their storylines being superior to the UK soaps - we do not have the knowledge to agree nor disagree. This is unfair.

Ok, but as LoveUSsoaps mentioned, when he (you are a he aren't you? ) says something about a US soaps in a UK soap debate, he usually provides links to whatever he is talking about so we can all see.
Its just like there being a post on EE/Corrie and then other people coming and and saying how something was done far better on the other soap.

Look - you are not going to attack me for having an opinion.

IN MY OPINION I don't think that you should involve US soaps in British discussion and IN MY OPINION I think that if the amount of US soap fans rises there should be a separate forum to make sure everyone is happy. I know some people on here for a fact dislike the constant talk of US soaps because we cannot access them - but they are afraid to say so.

I am not posting anymore on this topic, I've been in contact with the Mods and they will make a decision shortly.

I think that was the sole intention of the first thread.

You can not access them? This is a forum, you don't Have to read every single thread! And what about those people who don't like Corrie/EE, should they have their own separate board as well because most of the posts on here are about Corrie and EE! Im not complaining as i like them both but im just thinking of the people who don't!

I can't see anyone being afraid to say they dislike the talk of US soaps seeing as everyone on here is hidden behind a computer!

I've spoken to at least four now via PM and MSN, you'd be very surprised.

People are scared to say what they think on this forum now in fear of being jumped on and attacked or being reported.

But the whole point of your argument is them bringing up US soaps in UK soap discussions, so they wouldn't be having that debate in sub forum, because it's partly about a UK soap. What you're bascially calling for is restrictions on the forum, people only been allowed to comment about soaps on terrestrial tv (which incidently would include Sunset Beach, and American soap on Channel 5)

I can't understand your point about not having the knowledge to agree or disagree so its unfair. I've never watched Family Affairs in my life, I'm at work when it's on and usually am taping something else. So if someone posts in a thread that little Joe Bloggs from FA is a far better actor then Chesney from Corrie am I allowed to cry foul because I don't have access to FA and never see it?

I think it may be a better idea for the US soap fans to have a sub forum. The majority of people on here are British and only know Corrie, Enders and Emmerdale. It is technically a forum for British soaps. Having threads about US soaps that we dont' know or can't access seems a bit pointless really.

Maybe it is also time for EE and Corrie to have sub forums too as certain people still come in and spoil the EE ones even though we try to stay out of the Corrie ones.
