I remember a few years ago, Corrie had its own website. Does anyone know why it changed to one off the ITV website when some programmes [such as GMTV] still have their own website.
The ITV Corrie website is useless, compared to eastenders' website!

I don't really know the reasons behind Corrie's official website closing down and you're right the current "soaps" websites are useless.

There were rumours of a Coronation STreet "super site" being opened by ITV but nothing has come of that... yet

I hope they open a new site in the new year (preferably January!)
They did say they would create a new big site after one of the award shows this year.

I hope they get it right this time.

The other official website was, IMO, as rubbish as the current one, with only a few character profiles thrown in for good measure.

They need a website which draws upon both Coronation Street past and Coronation Street present.

Corrie.net is good but very out of date and sketchy in some places.

Yeah! I can't even remember the old site! As Corrie has been on for 44 years im surprised there isn't an official Corrie site which makes use of all its rich history!

Yeh ITV treat Corrie crap - no proper ending sequence, no website.

I'm a Celebrity, X Factor, GMTV, they all get proper sites.

I remember the Corrie site, on the forum you could choose a face of a character for your username.

It was great fun!

I wouldn't say ITV treat Corrie crap as it is their highest rated show. The ending sequence is the same for most of their shows so we can't really complain much about most shows having great endings but Corrie's being crap.
