3 of my dogs dont care, the other one is terrified. Cowers in the corner, if out walking he pulls like mad to get home. But worse are fireworks. (Again just for this one)

Bookend was sitting on the windowsill and the first big clap of thunder and she flew off and hid under the duvet on my bed , Gizmo(her sister) just raised an eye as if to say "you stupid cat"

My cat used to go in the cupboard

My current cat takes no notice but he does hate loud car noises

Unless she's unlucky enough to be out in it, my cat does not notice or bat an eyelid.

My mum's dog (jack russell) used to be terrified, and would quiver for hours, and have to be cuddled and comforted. She's deaf now though, and has no idea that they're happening, so she's a lot calmer.

All three dogs don't bat an eyelid.

There is this jacket you can put on a dog called a thundershirt, it calms them down. Also good for separation anxiety too

My dog is dead now, but one of the many fantastic memories I have of him when he was younger was of one new years eve.

We still had our christmas tree up, and on new years eve, my dog was so scared that he managed to make his was under the christmas tree. It was hilarious, great memories.

I have 3 cats. Although 2 of them don't particulaly like thunder, they don't run and hide. They look up towards the sky in terror but will stay in the room with me and settle when they realise the roof isn't falling in. My other cat. bless her, is absolutely petrified. She shakes like a leaf and hides away under a little table I have covered over in my dining room.

My cat, who is scared of anyone thats comes in who isn't me or my OH, wasn't at all fussed. And we had all the windows open....

Our dog is terrified of all loud noises and thunderstorms are second only to fireworks.

I know when a thunderstorm is coming. She starts drooling and shaking in advance. I really don't know what would happen if we were caught outside in a thunderstorm - I think her poor little heart would explode.

Mine comes rushing to either mine or my parents sides and tries to hide. Even with the wind.

Oh. I thought this thread was going to be ''how do your pets react to you having sex/masterbating?''

Yeah, not well.

She needs some space of her own.

It's like being in a room with 3 of the cartoon Tasmanian Devils. Loud too.

My dog hates thunderstorms and fireworks, I dread Nov 5th, where I live now is a little better though as we have no children near mainly older ppl so its a bit quieter on fireworks night.

My dog barked at the first one he encountered but has ignored them all since. My old dog used to hide under the sideboard and shake though.

My one just won't stop barking at the sky/ceiling and won't budge from the back door unless he is let out and left to bark at everything he spots in the sky:- airplanes, birds etc.

I'm dreading bonfire night/Diwali..

The dog gets a little bit restless, but only as much as coming to sit closer to my legs. Other then that he is fine,

JaiJai i know how you feel, mine might be ok with storms but he barks ALL NIGHT when there are fireworks!

Since we've had Simba (Aug 5th 2011, 8 weeks old), a few days ago was the first proper thunderstorm we've had, so I was a little bit scared for him after hearing horror stories.

He awoke from his nap, looked out of the window, strolled around, munched, drank and went back to sleep.

So it's fair to say he was ok.

The Beast carries on as normal, ie mucking about outside doing whatever it is he does.

We've had some fierce thunder storms combined with rain coming down like stair rods. I call him and call him but no sign.

Then shortly after it's all over, he will batter through the flap (generally soaking wet and muddy) screaming at us, like the foul weather was some plot we had hatched to spoil his evening.
