Olly Murs US
Has he had much luck there? I remember he supported One Direction on their tour in America and I'm sure he made a different video for Heart Skips a Beat to make it appeal more to the US.
Has he got anywhere? |

He's doing okay so far.
He's currently at #114 on iTunes, and he's #26 on the pop chart on mediabase. I would expect the song to start getting airplay on rhythmic stations soon too, because of its urban qualities. If his radio support continues to grow, I think the song could be a big hit. But of course if radio give up on him in the near future he stands no chance. |

It takes time. He'll have to do a radio tour and tv promo.

He's gonna be like The Wanted- GYC and HSAB are both catchy songs and that's it.. doubt he's going to have major success over there

His 2nd single is better than HSAB, and it can get pop, rythmic AC and a little bit of urban (not a lot because he's white, look at Rolling in the deep). If that song is a hit, then it'll sell his album.
To be honest, I think even Heart Skips a Beat should get urban airplay tbh. Again, it won't, because he's white and from the UK, but musically it's the sort of thing that would appeal to their audience (moreso than other songs they play like Super Bass, surely?), as the song uses a hip hop beat. |

He's to parochial to be big over there I reckon. The Cheeky Chappy thing may go down well here, but I don't think they go for it over there. Look at Robbie Williams. It's Robbie Who over there.
