not done it myself, but I believe that you need a Mac to submit apps to Apple's store.

try these:

https://developer.apple.com/devcenter/ios/index.action

I actually want to make my own App and then perhaps submit this to both Android or Apple.

These links do not help me at all. I need a simple way of making an App.

That's like saying you need a simple way of performing brain surgery: apps don't just throw themselves together simply. Especially if you want to produce an app for both iOS and Android, which are very different systems to code for, you will need to roll your sleeves up and learn how to do it - and those links paulbrock gave you are the place to start.

For Android, there is a limited but simple to use "App Inventor" (http://beta.appinventor.mit.edu/about/), which can be used to cobble a basic app together for Android; I'm not sure if there's an equivalent for iOS. You should also know that to get an app into the Apple App Store, you need a developer account which I believe costs $99.

To develop meaningful Android apps you need to know Java and have a development environment like Eclipse, but be prepared for a steep learning curve.

Here's a 10MB pdf which will show you just how complicated it is.

Or you might want to start by looking at http://developer.android.com which has some pictures

Smartphones seems to have spawned this thought in some peoples head that its a doddle to make the next Angry Birds doesn't it? Oh how naive!

Incidentally, here's a tutorial that takes you through building your first Android app:
http://developer.android.com/trainin...app/index.html

You'll see it's quite a complicated business.
