Two Kindles
I already have a Kindle, however I would like to get a newer one - without a scratch on the screen
![]() - my question is, if I do get a new one, can I have my books on both Kindles at the same time, if they are both registered to me? I only ask as I would give the older one to my Dad and there are several books on it that he would read, but I would also like to have them on my new Kindle. Thanks in advance.Sorry if there is already a thread. |

Yes, just put them on the same account. No problem.

You'll have to download them, they won't automagically appear. Go to Archived Items... on the device, or in your account on the web go to Manage Your Kindle and you can then send individual items where you want them to go.

I have got two, it works fine. 2nd Kindle was automatically registered as Martin's Second Kindle when I connected to my account, and all of my "cloud" books appeared, ready to download.
Your only issue will come if your Dad wants books of his own, because as soon as he does he will lose all of yours, unless you buy them for him. |

Turn off Whispersync too (it's on by default). Otherwise if you both read the same book you'll keep loosing your place.

I've already said I would download anything he and my Mother want from my Amazon account, bang goes my street cred! They'll all be Westerns and historical romances!

For some reason whenever I see this thread on the list of forum topics it always makes me think of 'Four Candles/Fork Handles' and makes me smile. Dunno why!
