Trying to text a 5 digit number on my iPhone but it's failing as the text digits are separating after the first 2 digits and the number not being saved in one go

Eg instead of 12345 I get 12 345 to the number putting a space in between

Any ideas?

The iphone does separate numbers to make them easier to see from what I remember, however this is not going to cause an issue. It's a space on the display, but it doesn't affect calling the number.

Sounds more like that number is not working at the moment and you're blaming the spaces, which are probably not the cause.

What shortcode are you trying to text?

It should work, If text a short code it will seperate the digits but this never causes any issues with sending. If the text sending is failing it "could" be your network.

Tried to text QVC studio on 80782 but wouldn't go through.

It makes absolutely no difference.

As above, the formatting only changes what is shown to you.

If it's failing to send, it's because of something else.

most likely your network is blocking you from sending txts to premium rate services.
probably need to call them up to have the barr removed.
