Ah yes, the age old 'you disagree with me so you never owned whatever'. childish and stupid but you have just actually shown what and who i suspected you are.

And for the record, i did and Siri was crap.

I see you have to have an iPhone 4s for FaceTime over cell. Nice one Apple. So over the past 2 years i have had notifications which have been useful. Nothing else.

Android has the siri anyway.

My point though is that just because Android lags OS' means you just get stuff late.

With iPhone you just never get features, or they remove them like Maps and Youtube.”

The you tube app is being removed as the licence ran out you can still access it through the web browser.
Maps is being replace by Apples own version whether it will be on a par remains to be seen.

Oh dear.. I'm from Northern Ireland so Siri won't like my accent either

I guess my best bet is too have a fiddle with the phones in the O2 shop and see how they play out All comments are welcome. I have no idea what facetime is though?

I know that. I said i couldn't use it over cell. When ever i call my wife we are never both on wifi, so its a pointless gimmick.

Yeah, i would test it out first. Also have a look at other phones.

Facetime is Apples version of video calling which has of course been around for years but, unlike the rest of them, it only works with Apple stuff.

Ahh check that out. Looks pretty sweet.

If i did go and buy an Iphone on contract. Is there such things as setting limits on phones so you don't go over , say, the amount of calls i'm allowed to make or texts i'm allowed to send?

Then download the Skype app. Just because FaceTime is on there doesn't mean you have to use it. I agree it pointless I don't know anyone who has ever used it. Probably good for parents away from their kids.

No company does that for you but you can get some good contracts now as the 4s will be replace by a new model soon

The only thing that keeps me on it is the Blackberry Messenger. I have considered waiting for the Iphone 5, but it will be insane because EVERYBODY will be straight in for it.

Also for everybody who mentioned networks. I'm on o2. I usually top up £15 a month so I get my unlimited calls/texts and then o2 will also take £5 from that for my bolt-on”

Ah but Toy_Hero, would not that be the very best time to go for a discounted 4S deal just after 5 has been put on sale?

Its the same as video calling on any other phone but is just limited to apple devices. Same with iMessage.

I think networks can do it but, on some phones there is a built in counter to remind you. I cant remember seeing it on my old iphone but it is on Android.

Not attacking you apologies if it seemed like that. Just suggesting an alternative then agreed it was a gimmick.

I've never experienced any of those problems.

My wife and i got sticky home buttons about 20 months in, both on iphone 4. Its a bit of a pain, but hey, physical things degrade, but they creep up on you.

I got it 3 months before my wife, but use my phone much more, so it seems inevitable with the ihpone 4 to me.

That explains why you gave yours back so quick!. In that time frame its clearly faulty. In our time frame its annoyance and never buying an iphone again, and enjoying shopping around.
