With the jury voting in favour of Apple in the case in the states, which phone do you prefer using, Samsung Galaxy or iPhone ?.

I have used both and find them very similar but the downside with the iPhone is the control Apple have over it. Both are good phones imo but i'd choose the Samsung if I was given the choice. You can do a whole lot more with the Galaxy

Please DON'T turn this into a p*ssing contest

I prefer using the iPhone to previous Samsung phones. That Kies software was a pain. Though I haven't used the S3 yet.

Had the iphone from about jan to July and it if im being very honest, it was ok. It basically did ok as a device. It was never anything special though. I did have to Jailbreak it to change the look as i was bored rigid at rows and rows of icons! Although i had to bin the jailbreak as some apps wont work with it

I was an Android user before and iOS really didn't cut it. It was slow. laggy in certain areas and normally just a pain to use. The pain to turn the wifi on was unreal. They ripped the notification bar from Android, so the least they could have done was add the icons up there as well to save having to scroll through rows of icons to find the settings, press wifi, go into another screen then turn it on. Just things like that annoyed me.

I now have the S3 and back to enjoying using my phone instead of it being a headache.

The Iphone without a shadow of a doubt.

At the end of the day it is a phone so i do not need to be able to customize it . It also has a lot better feel in the hand than the Samsung phone. It feels cheap!!

Nah really, it doesn't. I have one in my hand now and after month of holding that brick of an iphone it feels much smoother in the hand. No meal edges jagging into your hand like the iphone.

Looks nicer and not like a toy, so much faster and able to do much more.

I prefer samsung. I've used 2 iphones (3G and 4) and a few samsungs (Galaxy Note, Galaxy Y and S3). Now I find the iphone restrictive and boring. I don't really find the iphone similar to any of the samsung phones I've used. For me the samsungs are more intuitive and akin to using a PC. I now find the premium price of Apple's products to be a rip off. I used a budget android phone for a while (Samsung galaxy Y) and found that the iphone 4 wasn't that much better than it even though it is supposed to be a high end phone. My galaxy note is more advanced and sophisticated than my iphone 4 was and they are both supposed to be high end phones.

I just personally do not like the feel of it. I was tempted to get a S2 as i have been out of contract since January 2012 and i played with it the shop and i disliked the whole " feel " of it.

For a £400 plus phone it felt flimsy in my hand and that is why i have stayed with my Iphone 4.

I fail to see the logic here i am afraid. Playing Apps is fun and kills times on journeys .

Why do i need to be able to change a wallpaper or stuff like that? . It is not fulfilling in any way and is just a pissing competition so your friend can say " OMG" where did you get that!

Ah well, each to their own i guess but, for me the feel of the S3 is much slicker and much nicer than jagged metal edges poking you!

Well because i don't want my phone to look the exact same as everyone else's. I have my own identity. Something i didn't have with an iphone!

Because you have visual impairment?
Aside, there is a bit more to customisation than wallpaper!

Your games sound like shoot em ups.

Wallpaper choice is surely just a creativity game.
If Apple allowed you to do this you can easily guess the problem Apple would then have.

I admit I loaded a live wallpaper just to make iPhone owners jealous. Am I a bad person?

Add the new patriotic line and will anyone ever dare buy a Samsung ever again in America?

I thought I read that one Apple court slide had a picture of a US dollar passing over to become a Korean Won.

Why would a court case have any impact on which phone I prefer using?

From the way describe an iPhone are you sure it was an actual iPhone you had? Seriously Rosetech,,,,OOPS I meant Stiggles you entire posting history right back to June is a daily attack on iPhone lol.

You also seem to have forgotten what month you bought it but never mind eh. I'm not saying for 1 second you make up lies. An as for the iPhone being a brick, you have seen the size of the S3 haven't you?

If iPhone is a brick then the S3 is a breeze block. But then the S3 is a more powerful phone so its a price user's are happy to pay I guess.

But to answer the original question, I prefer the iPhone but I' very impressed with the S3's screen and power but the size an the fact Googles OS hold it back and cannot make use of the quad core plus the its a bit to big for me so I won't be getting one.

The locked down iOS doesn't bother me, I'm not into silly back grounds and running custom ROM's that some dodgy developer has filled full of spyware.

Nope

I have a TAB 2 7.0 a ASUS Nexus 7 and a Galaxy S2, in my home right now so that proves my neutrality lol. Also have a Blackberry Bold990 that my employer provide and a iPhone 4s of my own. An of COURSE a iPad.

What about you swordman?
You only remind me of that HerbieMalware person.

I already referred to Tracy as someone and got no reply.

BTW both Faust and Gormond are reliable types. You can debate with Gormond.

I'm not any user you know of, I have used this site on and off for many years, generally in the summer as me and my partner are both involved in education.

So we get a bit of free time during the mid summer so I tend to revisit a few forums and online communities.

Who the hell is Rosetech? And more to the point, how would you know who that was unless you had been here before.....

Think you have just shot yourself in the foot there...

Weirdly i joined last January so whats your point? You joined this month again, and your whole posting history pretty much so far has been on 2 threads attacking people who disagree with what happened in the court case and also those who dont like apple. So surely, your far worse than me?

Oddly enough you remind us all of an unfavourable member who was banned from here not to long ago.

Yes, it was an iphone. Why is it that apple nuts say you never had one because you dont like it. very strange behaviour....

You also seem to have forgotten what month you bought it but never mind eh. I'm not saying for 1 second you make up lies. An as for the iPhone being a brick, you have seen the size of the S3 haven't you?
You know what, your right, i cant remember fully as it was late jan early feb. Problem with that?

Shall i show you a pic of me holding said iphone if it will shut you up? I have a pic of me on holiday holding the bloody phone if that will help? Jesus...

Yes, of course i have seen the S3 size considering i have one, the difference is it doesnt feel as chunky and awfu to hold as the iphone.

If iPhone is a brick then the S3 is a breeze block. But then the S3 is a more powerful phone so its a price user's are happy to pay I guess.
Yet feels much more comfortable.

But to answer the original question, I prefer the iPhone but I' very impressed with the S3's screen and power but the size an the fact Googles OS hold it back and cannot make use of the quad core plus the its a bit to big for me so I won't be getting one.
Fair enough, but if the iphone stretches in size which is apparent, then it will roughly be the same size as the s3 since apple love putting huge bezels on everything.

The locked down iOS doesn't bother me, I'm not into silly back grounds and running custom ROM's that some dodgy developer has filled full of spyware.
Oh dear....
