I don't recall that at all but the suggestion was it would have a red button service like Sky Sports with alternative content, which of course it never did.
I don't think it's unfair to say that much of the 'inside information' he is told about has merely been inside someone's head. I have a TV with a DVB-C tuner that I occasionally used to search to see if there was anything testing. The odd, obscure thing appeared with an indistinct label so i'd let him know. The next thing he would be posting that Channel XYZ could be testing but all I mentioned was a label, I couldn't actually see anything! Very strange. in that case no ESPN red button never launched. |

Don't get me wrong, I admire his enthusiasm and all the time he must spend searching out information but I think the mantle he has somehow earned himself as having a grapevine to VM Towers is a bit far fetched

![]() Technix seems far better informed to me. admittedly VM internally say whatever is coming but sometimes duck out last minute which is what happened with the ITV HD channels. but generally spot on on the whole. I think VM is almost there now with its lineup. Just a few loose ends to tie up and it's as good if not better than sky in some cases. (noticed I said some). the new BBC red button has great potential now, in time that will be a cracking service. now liberty own us the future could very well be interesting. Added to that, my service has been excellent on the whole. Loving the TiVo. |

Loving the TiVo. dont think we will get BT sports, They changed the terms and conditions on June 1st to not allow people to leave when ESPN goes. Maybe they are covering themselves, maybe BT are dragging there heels... but something as big as this should be sorted out by now __________________ |

I am not sure if BomberAF info is made up or not.
It was couple of weeks ago broadcastnow article said VM they were close to agreeing a price for Sky Atlantic and Carriage agreement for Sky other channels ( Sky Basics) on VM are due to be renewed. I noticed they have not said Premiere exclusively to Sky Customers on this page http://skyatlantic.sky.com/the-newsr...turn-in-august They have in the past said that. http://skyatlantic.sky.com/banshee/s...rip-to-banshee |

Now that Atlantic has been exclusive for over 2 years maybe the time is right for it to join other platforms. And if VM have more money available now then it could be a starter.
I find the BT claim a bit hard to believe though as I could see many thousands of people jumping ship if Atlantic and BT Sport were included in XL. I guess time will tell. |

Media Boy has posted on CF that "significant news" is to be revealed by Virgin Media in the coming weeks, told by an inside source. Wonder if Technix could have a word with his sources see if he gets the same result, so far Technix has been the most accurate!

As for the most recent 'announcement' that an announcement will be made just screems of... I know something you don't know and I'm not going to tell you! Remember, knowledge is power. Having said that good luck to those that participate in that thread, they seem to enjoy it! |

So a rumour from Nialli and confirmed by MB says we're getting BT Sport, i would guess (based on nothing) that Sky Atlantic will replace the ESPN Channels and BT Sport will be a standalone package at the same price it is on Sky.

Just a random question (please don't shoot me down), I know there was huge divides over it when it was announced but given the popularity of F1 in this country (or what it was) and the BBC advantage of HD, wouldn't it make sense to launch it in HD on VM?? Adds another sweetener maybe ... As much as I like SSF1, BBC in HD would be my choice because of the fact it's in HD ... maybe in the future ?? ...
