Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't this a new channel thread?

So exactly the same as me then. So what was your earlier comment about?

Exactly, howardmicks, and we're currently waiting to see if a deal will be done between Premier Sports and Virgin Media a la BT Sport following certain tweets made on Premier Sports' official Twitter account.

Media Boy is reporting that upto 16 channels may launch by the end of 2013. These include Sky Atlantic SD and HD, the remaining Sky Sports channels in HD along with Sky News HD and Sky Sports News HD. No mention of Premier Sports though.

Mediaboy - who states on October the 10th no more rumours will be posted on his blog , then adds to the above info that its mostly only rumours

So all those Sky channels but no Pick +1 , no 4seven HD which was granted a Ofcom License at the same as Channel 4 +1 HD , no Disney Jr HD and no E! HD.

HD content has even appeared in E! On Demand recently.

Yes, the same mediaboy who was persuaded to change his mind later that day because it turned out that a forum poster from here accused him of delaying channels, but let's not go into that.

He is only going on information he is told. Just because 4SevenHD was granted a license, doesn't mean it is going to broadcast, and besides, that license was granted for freeview only.

And his followers, who claimed Virgin had said the Meeja Boy thread was delaying channels.

For completeness the only channels testing are a Netflix barker channel and FOX+.

I appreciate people sharing info but all it seems to be is "I can now confirm that these unconfirmed rumours might happen before 2014". Not really any use to anyone as nothing is confirmed!

I wasn't aware that you saw all areas. It's impossible for one person to know what's testing across the VM network as different areas test different channels.

On the contrary, the only information he ever gets right is lifted directly from this forum.

I've stopped reading the ridiculous Cable Forum thread to be honest, he's clearly just a teenager taking rumours from DS and other sites (you can tell from the appalling grammar '4 channels is testing etc' along with the 'I can't reveal any info or tell you why' stirring the pot nonsense!)

How can you "reveal" that something "should" launch?

Surely you can speculate or say "The following channels may launch before 2014 but it is not confirmed and in no way gospel"

This is why the blog and forum post is pointless!

It is sort of a weird cult of personality around Media Boy on Cable Forum, so much so that Cable Forum posters come on here to defend him. His latest predictions do seem particularly weak.

Sorry for my previous post. We should all try to get along. Stop these petty arguments. Ultimately we are all just interested in channel launches on Virgin Media.

I really wish CF users would stop dragging this thread into the gutter by personalising their posts against anyone who doesn't dote on Meeja Boy or his thread. Many valuable posts are being lost as days of posts get deleted entirely.

I think the Premier Sports posts got removed as they were jammed between others that were seen as off-topic. The two points were:
1) Premier Sports' Facebook page "Craig Sherwood: Great news, any update on Virgin yet? [23 hours ago]
Premier Sports No but you never know. Things can move quickly. [20 hours ago]
2) If I remember correctly,Technix said he had heard a deal between the two companies was looking more likely. If so, channel 551 would be the channel number.

Why don't you stop it with your Meeja boy crap then. You're part of the reason posts get deleted so don't blame others when it's you who's constantly stirring things up.
Why you haven't been banned yet i'll never know.
From now on i'm not going to respond to any of your coments because i don't want to see this thread deleted and because you simply aren't worth it.

This was from a VM cs person so take it with a pinch of salt but it seems legit. Netflix will launch on VM across all areas within next 4 weeks.

You can find what Technix said by doing a google search.

Can you people please stop playing petty games in this thread?

I can honestly say that most of us who read this are NOT INTERESTED.

We simply want to know the latest information - not all your mindless squabbles.
