What always annoys me is, how do ordinary customers get to know these channels have launched? I never see any announcements from VM, except maybe a Press Release in the Media Centre. They never seem to be fan-fared on their website or anything. You'd think they'd make a bit of a fuss about it!

They could send a pop-up to all boxes, for example. Or even an email/snail-mail.

If i didn't follow the forums i'd never know about most of them. There's probably still people who don't know more4HD has launched.

VM need to shout about this stuff.

Good tip but unless I've missed it, when everyone was getting excited about BT Sport being added in August, this thread was discussing the UKTV channel changes!

Premier Sports is expected imminently. The Fox+ test has been there for weeks with no news as to why there is a delay.

Thanks, but as I said, what about their viewers who - for example - don't have internet, or don't know about that thread? My point was that VM don't seem to advertise these channel launches at all properly.

Well they did with BT but I take your point with other channels. TiVo does have a messages feature they should use more.

Are you proposing they bring back Cable Guide? Ah the memories of that.

another channel that I will never watch - just hope they bring on more general entertainment channels rather than bothering about sport.

Media Boy HQ has stated ' Premier Sports will have an freeview on the all Packages until the end of 2013. - Then Premier Sports will cost £7.99 per month from 2014. '

Agree bud, what will be really annoying is if Netflix does in fact arrive as a additional charge.surely Netflix would be a bigger coup in xl pack than premier sports

My TiVo currently has a message about the BT Sport freeview, and Tiddlers TV.

Will probably have one for Premier Sports soon

I don't even think premier sports is aware there on Virgin media

from there website

Currently we are not available to view on Virgin. We are endeavouring to change this situation and would appreciate if customers would contact Virgin directly asking for Premier Sports to be made available. There are a number of ways to contact Virgin.- *** Forum: http://community.virginmedia.com/t5/TV/bd-p/tv ***Twitter: @virginmedia *** Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/virginmedia ***

You can watch all your favourite sport via the Premier Player.

They are because they've been tweeting about it for the last half hour.

They've also posted that it'll be free until at least the end of the year and then it'll be premium

Makes sense - sounds like a case of get the channel in place for the Rugby League World Cup then worry about pricing afterwards. I've read elsewhere that £8pm is a likely price point for XL customers and £10pm for all others. I suspect until the viewing figures etc are reviewed a decision won't have been made.

Premier Sports doesn't seem to be such a great deal as a subscription channel, it has rugby league, US motor racing, South American football, Irish Gaelic sports and NHL ice hockey and a few other minor sports but certainly not that much. Their lineup is actually worse than Eurosport.
