Still nothing launching, nothing testing, and loads of speculation.

Have you had to re-sign up?

Im surprised BBC HD channels aren't testing yet, they seem to be testing on every other platform!

How I manage my account is between me and admin.

Virgin tend to be late with BBC channels testing on VM. As I've said it's not like Virgin are new at launching HD channels. The Olympics went online "late" (in terms of distance in advance) if I remember right.

So you are the same Sirius then...

and I guess they will test them soon. Apparently Total Channels has gone up by 1 last night with no new channels launched. Don't suppose you could have a check?

A music barker channel VMPlaylist. The EPG states it's Christmas Crackers all day.

Early December for the BBC HD channels I think
And there's more to come! Got told today that the BBC have informed VM that, subject to finances and approval, they intend to start rolling out the BBC1 regions in HD from 2014.

This will negate the need for viewers to have to switch back to SD to watch local progammes, such as the regional news.

Personally, If I wanted to watch the christmas films, id watch them on Channel 5 cause its HD. Not sure the need for a deal apart from it sounds like True Movies don't have enough Christmas films to change the name!
True Movies has actually morphed into a Christmas channel for the duration of the festive period and called itself 'True Christmas'. I guess a deal was done with Channel 5 as True Movies/Christmas own the rights.

Good point about HD, I never thought about that.

Check your source on that one... It's been stated multiple times not only by BBC Management, on the BBC Trust website and by Alix Pryde on BBC Points of View that BBC Management must submit their proposal to the Trust in January for approval.

Due to the way the BBC works, you will hear about the Regional HD variations from them before they even start discussing with the channel providers.

Reading both posts I think you're both in agreement ie "subject to approval". It's realistic that the BBC would discuss its current thinking on HD channels too.

That was actually mentioned on POV last week I think they intend to have completed the change by 2017.

The new BBC HD channels when launched on VM should be on the following EPG numbers:

BBC Three HD - 162
BBC Four HD - 163
BBC News HD - 604
CBBC HD - 710
CBeebeies HD - 711
Just noticed on the TV Anywhere listings BBC Two HD is on channel 161 and BBC Alba is on channel 164.

True and I also think that it's probably a foregone conclusion that the 'approval' is likely to be a rubber stamping jobbie, but that they have to go through the motions.

Thanks, I'll have a look on the iplayer later on

Unfortunately, it's not there any more. I thought they kept these for most than a week but I guess not!

I'm tempted to say you should write to Points of View about that. However, 10 episodes do remain on iPlayer including the episode in question http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b006...pisodes/player

I've just tried to watch it, but it keeps on buffering.

Was anything extra said in addition to what I posted earlier about the timetable for the rollout of the BBC1 HD regions?

Seriously the TV Anywhere app launching on Android was subject to a "do not post" order?

Yes, because certain companies don't want factual information getting out. Prior to that, everything was rumour.

It's not even "coming soon to Virgin TV" seeing as it's a mobile device. There's surely only so many times you can imply Sky Atlantic is launching when it blatantly isn't. I also doubt the information would cause share price sensitivity had it been leaked.

Is it correct that TV Anywhere is for TiVo customers only?

Also we've lost two channels on tne EPG. I know one is the BBC HD Red Button stream, does anyone know what the other channel was that has been removed?

Yes. Well, the app anyway. It's primary function is to control and manage the Tivo and its contents.

You can access the website without one.
