Thanks for trying, but it does not work.

I was sort of hoping Richardcoulter was going to answer, and say something like the information comes out of his crystal ball.

I thought the link had been fixed, you have to add ) at the end of it in the address bar.

Many thanks. It is there. Where have they got that from?

I would think it is extremely likely that website was used by Richardcoulter (but why did he use words like, "I now believe", and not provide a link?):

It's Al Jazeera English HD that's coming. I now believe that it "will start in May" and may not necessarily be on the 1st of the month.

This is indeed the website where the info came from.

I tried to post a link in the satellite tests thread, but as you can see there are problems with it. Instead of causing more confusion, I decided to just pass on the information.

Try this link. If my link does not work just click on Carl's list and put a ) (close bracket) at the end of the web address and it should then work.

Thanks- that worked.

What happened with me (and probably Carl) is that the link works, but when you copy it to share for some reason it doesn't. Very bizarre!

The forum cuts off the closing bracket in the link, so you either have to edit your message and manually re-add the bracket to the URL, or replace it with %29.

Do you know if it does that for a reason or is it a fault?

Information now suggests that National Geographic Wild HD will launch on 30/4/15.

Another Sky only linear channel closure to help bridge the gap between Sky and Virgin Media is on it's way:

As expected, the Sky 3D linear channel is set to close. This will happen in June.

Programmes will still be available via VOD.

MB is now reporting that one of the channels has been identified as National Geographic HD. The others remain testing off the EPG with code names.

http://mediaboyblog.blogspot.co.uk
It was previously thought that this channel would start on 30 April 2015, but MB says he has now seen information to say that it will start on 12 May 2015.

Big Centre TV is said to be launching on the same date for those eligible to receive it.

It has today been revealed that one of the Sky Arts channels will be closing on all platforms.

The interview talks about this being a relatively recent decision, but this has been mooted for the last couple of years at least according to one of my sources.

My theory is that, in the short term at least, Sky Arts 2 SD would be replaced with Sky Arts +1, which could happily take Virgin 283 with little fuss. The question marks are over what they'll do with the Arts 2 HD slot, though if they replace it with something else - Sky2 HD, say - on the Sky platform, there's little to stop them making the same change on Virgin's HD lineup, bar the current paucity of Entertainment slots on the Virgin guide...

I wonder if Lichfield will get this channel?

With the 'new' Sky Arts moving to a lower EPG position on Sky, taking the place of Sky 2, we may see the same on Virgin with it taking 121 and Sky Arts HD next to it on 122.

Apparently, National Geographic Wild HD did not launch as expected due to technical problems. The new launch date is penciled in as 2 June 2015.

Rumours are also going round that the plug will be pulled on London Live (on all platforms) in the not too distant future.

Sound and vision tests continue off the EPG for unknown services (the channel names are coded as VO followed by various numbers).
