Sky Sports Mix HD and Sky Sports Mix SD have now appeared on the EPG.

I receive both on my current XL package.

What other packages is it on?
Can't get to box just now but my tv anywhere showing 517 with 507 greyed out. I'm on m+

Ben (who works for VM) says that Sky Sports Mix is on M+ and above and believes that's for both SD and HD

* Maybe it's different on TV Anywhere??

MB has seen information that the Fox News Channel will launch in "Autumn 2016".

Confirmed that 5 STAR +1 and Spike are Encrypted so are now ready to launch soon. I really don't know why they bother paying to encrypt FTA channels!

Bay TV Liverpool has gone into administration, but it's believed that it's still broadcasting as normal on channel 159.

The Craft Channel is to join VM:

* Edit: Ben has just explained that TV Anywhere only streams from the SD channel numbers and that channel 507 is Sky Sports Mix HD.

Thanks for news on fox.

Definitely only sd of sports mix on m+ as just tried on box. I'd expect that anyway to be honest.

Just a pity, for me, the whole day is taken up with cricket.

Pardon?????

What does this mean??????

Have you even seen the channel 507 for sky sports mix? it is SD and it sucks badly, i am on Size L package now and i do not get the HD version either. Which is a great shame, cos i like to watch TV now in HD, and i refuse to pay for XL anymore since they kept doing crazy high price rises, and yet another is on its way too. So i will be ringing retention's i think tomorrow. And i will say that i will leave if they do not offer me a better deal and for me to get the HD channels too. otherwise i will go elsewhere.

I have never used TV Anywhere and was passing on information from a VM employee to try to clarify matters.

AIUI, SSM HD is not available on TV Anywhere (regardless of package) as it only has SD channels on the service.

I don't blame you for being unhappy about the forthcoming price rise- IIRC it's the third this year. Many (including myself) intend to do something about it this time.

With the current state of the TiVo, they're taking the piss. I'm genuinely surprised that TiVo haven't taken action against VM for seriously tarnishing their brand.

I agree with you. And ok sorry.

Anyway, i did just ring retentions, And they now offered me the same plus XL for about £5 more with 2 discounts, one for 6 months, one for 18 months. and he spoke to his manager and he was able to get £20 credited to my account as a goodwill gesture. so that brings my current bill down by £20.

So all in all not too bad, but i tried my best to get back in the XL package with the excuses of next price rise and current new channels being added that still cant get the HD versions, so yeah, kinda helped a bit, but i think they could have maybe done more. but I suppose for now i am happy. I can always ring up again and downgrade in a few months.

...especially as there is yet another price increase too. I AM SICK OF THEM NOW.
Because no other similar company (Sky, BT, etc.) never put their prices up, right?

Yes, I'm not too happy about it but I know that they're not the only ones doing it and, given they have Tivo and their service is (for me) excellent, I have no reason to go to the bother (and expense of a BT phone line install) to change provider.

it is SD and it sucks badly, i am on Size L package now and i do not get the HD version either.
You can thank Sky for insisting that the HD versions of their channels are only made available to XL subscribers.

The actual Tivo functionality itself works fine. It's the other (non-Tivo) stuff (llikeon demand) that doesn't.

It's good news that VM has had the intelligence to make all of the recent additions like TruTV, Movie Mix, Movies4Men and Pop available on their basic M+ tier and upwards, as they are all on Freeview/Freesat. However, the likes of CBS Drama (XL only), True Entertainment (L & XL only), True Movies 1 (L & XL only) and Tiny Pop (L & XL only) should really be moved down as they are also on Freeview/Freesat.

Well, MovieMix launched on channel 425, movies 4 men launched on channel 426, and pop launched on 736, a day earlier.

Shame there isnt the true movies 2 or the movies 4 men +1 channels too. shame on virgin media. But it is still nice to finally see those channels on virgin media

A day earlier? They've launched on the date they said they would.

True Movies 2 is pretty much a +1 for True Movies 1, i.e. the same content just shown at different times, and that's exactly what Movies4Men+1 is, and we don't really need more +1's cluttering the EPG and using up bandwidth.

I like the time shift channels and think we should have them as they are useful to catch a film that has already started and are very useful for resolving recording clashes.

Yep, to me that's just petty of VM. IIRC even greedy Sky let those entitled to view the main channel have access to the time shifted variant.

I hope it's not the game, can only imagine how slow and terrible that would be... Like 1fps or worse.

Yes, it's the game.

I've never played it, so don't know anything about it.

Is this game still popular? Someone has said that it was popular about 18 months ago; but not so much now.

Wow. 2009 called and wants it back.

Surely some sort of hurriedly put together Pokemon thing would be more appropraite.

..

(Not having a dig at you, but rather the news itself).

Any hope of Spike launching this week? It would make sense given that the new Battlebots series starts next Sunday, which is bound to be very popular for them.

It start today on channel 154 along with 5STAR +1 on 186.

That's another silly idea of channels being messed up.
