Was there really a need to post what Richard already posted?????

http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showp...postcount=2074

If you look at the post in that link above, you can clearly see Richard already mentioned it.

Anyhow its great that we finally get spike on VM.

Good grief, it's finally happened.

Pleased that VM have acted upon all the requests to include the main Freeview/Freesat channels.

No sign of YourTV though. Odd that this one should be missed out

Typical of VM though, it's always "coming soon", delayed or an incomplete bouquet of channels.

I can recall price rises and incomplete bouquets of channels but credit where it's due - I don't think channels ever get delayed in launching. They just seem to appear; VM rarely announces them in advance.

Still like to see History HD, we have H2 HD so why can't we have History HD?

I expected that there would be a mini reshuffle of their channels, but something like:

150 - Channel 5 HD
151 - Channel 5 +1
152 - 5STAR
153 - 5USA
154 - Spike
155 - My5

5STAR+1 and 5USA+1 further down, and ending up on 185 and 186 is a decent place.

I meant that many start after other platforms get them eg Freeview has had Spike since launch, but VM only got it today.

The average viewer isn't concerned about carriage deals, business strategies, negotiations etc, they are only concerned that VM always seem to be late to the party.

This is especially irritating when channels on a free platform aren't available on a platform that people are paying a lot of money for.

Seen a rumour that Fox News is due to start on 20/10/16.

I don't know, it does seem very odd that a spin off channel is in HD, yet the parent channel is only SD!?

An extention on Sky Sports F1 now that Liberty Global is close to buying Formula 1?

hmmm interesting, any ideas yet what it might be? I read speculation on the other forum :P but people are just guessing?

it is probably just to do with the new 4k box. So that isnt exactly new news though.

Could be, but I have a feeling that it could be channel related.

Sky Atlantic??

Missing HD channels eg Disney??

4K channel announcement (most likely, to tie in with their new box)??

That's been the story of cable TV in this country forever, always playing catch up.

We get excited by the launch of new channels that other providers have had since launch, even the free services.

This, along with the useless TiVo and forthcoming price rises have pushed many former loyal customers (me included) over the edge. They're taking the piss now.
