That's one of the ways, computer scans, alternative cable boxes etc can also be used.

People are unlikely to elaborate too much as this is against VM t&c's.
Ok i see. thanks for the late reply and info

AFAIK they are staying on Freeview permanently, in fact, there's a rumour that E4 HD may join them next year and go FTA.

Kix is said to now be listed off the VM EPG.
Update: Kix has been replaced with Kix Power.

Amazon is now listed.

Rumours that Sony Movies will be joining "sometime in 2017" and that Viceland will be joining "in April 2017".

Well, if they are anything like Fox News, they might appear around this time next year!

Lol, well Fox News is now testing with audio & video, whereas these two are just rumours at the moment.

Well that's good - MB site still has Fox News on 'soft test' at the moment.

Why does it take so long to test a channel? Surely once all the contracts are signed it doesn't take months on end to make sure the channel works. Or am I just being naieve?

You are assuming the contracts are signed before tests - I would not sign a contract until I'm happy after any tests.

According to the MB site, the delay and soft testing of Fox News is because the channel will only be available in certain Virgin Media areas and therefore not nationwide.

Can't see that happening tbh.

VM have spent the last few years aligning their channel line ups too.

He probably means that it's only testing on a few headends at the moment.

The Moviemix licence has been removed, hope this doesn't mean that it will close after we've just got it

There was a rumour that Sony Movies was coming to VM; perhaps this is connected??

The mini reshuffle of Channel 4 and Discovery channels happened today as scheduled.

I think it would have made more sense to have:

141 Channel 4 HD
142 Channel 4 +1
143 E4
144 E4 +1
145 More 4
146 More 4 +1
147 4Seven

195 E4 HD
196 More 4 HD

Maybe Fox News will be England only or even UK Mainland only.

Or maybe it will never arrive going by the amount of time it's taking!

I think it will come eventually, but it's fair to say that just because a channel is listed or testing off the EPG doesn't necessarily mean that it will always be added to the public facing EPG eg Amazon was testing, but has now been removed.

Hi All

Does anyone know if the space created by moving the ID channels is earmarked for anything new at the moment??

Thanks

Tony

Don't you get the weekly email from "virgin media presents" (like the one sky do) that highlights the things coming up in the next week and also announces channel number changes
