Three - No surprise data bills - guaranteed.
I have seen Three are now saying that with all their tariffs there will be no surprise data bills - guaranteed.
What if you're not on an All You Can Eat data tariff? What happens when you reach your (for example) 1gb limit? Do they stop your data access until your new allowance starts? Do any of the other networks promise anything similar? |

They stop your usage when you hit the limit (they send warning text messages when you are near the limit and when you reach it). You can then choose to buy a one-off bundle.
What the other networks do depend on your package. Some throttle your connection when you hit the limit, while others will just start charging you. |

Yep, the allowance is capped. At the end you get the choice to buy 250mb for the rest of the month for £2. Or buy an unlimited data add on for the rest of the month for £5. Alternatively, you can add £3pm charge to any contract to give you unlimited data.
For example if you have a plan at £15pm with 500mb data. You can ring CS and ask them to add Unlimited data for £3pm. Price is then £18pm and you have unlimited data now. T-Mobile have a thing where they give you unlimited browsing, but at snail pace speeds so you can't watch youtube or download a file/stream music or anything after your allowance runs out. Not sure about the others but i'm 100% sure vodafone charge you. |
