Anyone else noticed that so far the acts have performed live, apart from Girls Aloud that is. Even Will Young who couldn't attend put forward a live performance. Why not Girls Aloud, who were chosen in Popstars based on live performances?

Will and Anastasia were outstanding.

Missed out Kate because I can't remember how to spell her name.

Expect Busted will also mime, or sing to backing tracks.

I've already started a thread in the Channels and Programing section.

I thought something was wrong with Anastasia, she seemed a little wacked out.

i think katie melua's song was the best

I was very impressed that they all sang live with the exception of Girls Aloud (although Cheryl and Nadine were both looking lovely so I will forgive them that!)

Cannot believe Busted won though - what the hell is going on in the world?!?!?!?

Because on the rare occassions Girls Aloud do sing live, it makes you want to pull your ears off! They were all appalling week after week on Popstars:The Rivals

i dont mind that busted won, at least they performed live. i would of went crazy if girls aloud (who mimed) won the record of the year

I voted for the Scissor Sisters, one of the best bands of 2004, I think it is an insult to british music that Busted won and with a song called Thunderbirds, what does that song mean anyway. And them waving thier guitars on stage, it was ridiculus

i was shocked they won too and then mcfly came second They are practically the same band!!
Ah well i've pritty much NEVER agreed with who has won that show!

Anyways, I stumpled accross ROTY, and was watching one of the performances on there - it was utter tripe - why can't they put "decent" people on there? My suggestions would be:

Razorlight - Golden Touch
Baby Brings Bad News - 22-20s
Welcome To The North - The Music
Pressure Point - The Zutons

I can't think of any others at this moment in time...

But that has to be better than that load of absolute tripe that were being nominated on there. Thunderbirds - FFS! What a load of bloody tripe!

Naw, Busted are a pretend punk band. Mcfly are actually quite good, have never mimed, write all their own songs themselves (no co-writers, unlike busted) and also could play all their own instruments before they formed, (again unlike busted).

I hated Mcfly at first to be honest, thought the same (ie busted clone) then I actually listened to them , and realised they were quite different and had a modicum of talent.

However, my personal fav record of those ten was Katie Melua. she sang it really well.

Katie was my fav Anastasia was good though
