According to the website the service is down across all devices. As as new user i was wondering if this happens on a regular basis?

First time i've heard of it happening and i've had lovefilm instant for 6 months.
Had it for about 3 months and think I've seen it down a couple of times - might just have been the player on the website though.
Love film streamng and Netflix are just not worth the money.
Crap of crap selection of films... The type you used to find in Woolies in the bargain bin.
Not as good quality as Bluray and even DVD.

LOL, beats going out to the shops and getting them, £6 a month is hardly breaking the bank, works out at about £1.50 week.
As for poor quality, must be your connection, in the case of Netflix, on my end even on medium quality it's just as good as DVD, HD is on par with Sky.
I was a regular user of the service up until last month. I never experienced any problems with it being down. But these things happen with any site from time to time.

Anyone thinking you're going to get recent movies for £6 per month is, well, dreaming.
By comparsion, those recent movies are available on Sky's Now TV service - for only £15 per month.

But a lot of those films are available on Netflix from different regions which are accessable via services like Unblock US. A subscription to Netfilx and Unblock US works out a lot cheaper than Now TV.
