Joe is going to win easily....and apparently it's because he's inoffensive and nice....

..And yet his wife makes out he loses his temper..Could it be he's suppressing his real self....hiding his true character....is that why he wouldn't enter a real discussion, for fear that his real self will be revealed....

He doesn't have a real self - he's too bland for anything so decisive.

In the clip of the interview with Joe's wife. She said he had a very bad temper or something. But luckily he hasn't shown it.

Joe just seems to continually disengage himself from conversations. Or even literally disengage himself from the group.

Some people say "Why should he change, and start playing up to the camera"

I say he does.

He uses select moments to reveal his humour.
In the Bush hut he has the gags ready, and is all to eager to be the funny man with the viewers.
But that type of humour doesn't seem as apparent with the people he is living with right now.

To them he is "occasionally" humorous.

Directly speaking to the camera when he is directly communicating to the viewer,..he is "always" trying to be humorous.

Entertainment for me, has to come mainly from interactions with his fellow contestants. More spontaneous in nature.

Having gags, and giggles ready for his direct interview to the camera doesn't do it for me as much.

Some people say that they don't think Joe should change.
Fine.
I don't think people should change and overact in the sole objective to entertain either.
If Joe wants to sit around looking morose, avoiding participating in conversations and playing it safe...that's up to him.
And bearing that in mind,..I maintain that to me he simply isn't entertaining.

I don't know why people are making out that some people are saying that Joe should act up and try to entertain.
I myself never said that at all.

But I do happen to think that Joe plays up and overacts on select occasions.
It makes up the votes that he wouldn't get for his actual interactions with the group. Which are minimal to say the least.

His wife said that Joe has a temper that we haven't seen.
And I think it was her (Or someone else who knows Joe) said that it's likely that Joe is playing a clever game here.

I originally wanted Joe to win, but for a few days now I've preferred Paul. Joe just seems to distance himself from what's going on in the camp too much.

Ah, here we go with one of your assumptions, why cant he be having a bad day, he might have a sore throat and not want to talk, he might be tired........ why has it got to be he is hiding his real self, maybe this is his real self or maybe he cant get a word in with janet and paul.

You are absoultely right AM....Joe does chose his moments to make his so-called hilarious one-liners. They are forced out, not the least bit natural...very much pre-planned and delivered. The fall-back joke is to say "jabocs" which just proves how desperate the humour is.....

To me there is no natural warmth from Joe...it's all an act. He is holding back..restraining himself, from comment. He's avoiding getting involved in anything at all....that shows a distinct lack of empathy with those around him and is as emotionless as his so-called comedy......

He's having a bad 2 weeks then because he's shown nothing of himself.....probably because there is nothing to show....As for my assumptions, it's far more accurate than your recent attack on Paul....

One can only agree with what you're saying there, Alrightmate. It has been growing more apparent as the time has passed and the focus has grown tighter on the individuals left that Joe is a playing a particular part in this proceeding. That's a fair enough attitude on his part, he obviously feels the need to protect himself from the public by wearing his cloak of childish comedian, he's done so quite successfully, whether one enjoys watching it is by the by. He's been looking a bit baffled in the last day or two about how to interract with his fellow contestants however, just as the other three have started to show their true personalities under the brighter, sharper spotlight. That is why it will probably be between Joe and Fran as to who gets the boot on the Sunday show. And I never thought I'd say it but I reckon Fran deserves to be in the final three more than Joe because we are seeing the real person with Fran, as opposed to Joe's rather transparent and shrinking act.

My hubby is a great fan of Joe and so are my parents. None of them ever watch the livefeed and yet when asked who they think should win IAC, they say Joe.

I don't understand why he's been a favourite to win throughout this series. I've found myself analysing him more than the others to see what the 'X-Factor' about him is.

I'm sorry to say to all you die-hard Joe fans, but the guy may be some kind of genius comedian or nicest guy in the world, but he gets a zero for revealing anything about himself.............isn't RTV about discovering something about the person.

Most RTV show winners win because they related best with the public and showed something of themselves.

Joe hasn't cut it for me. In fact, as much as I can't stand the woman, JSP has been a far more interesting character than Joe.
