How do you switch it off?

When I had my HTC wildfire I had no problem, but now with the Huawei ascend g300 I get notifications of apps I may like.
I presume this is a google play things, but I can't find a way to turn it off

thanks people.

I have to say that I don't get any notifications and neither does my mrs.

How do you get these notifications, through e-mail ?

No, just as notification on the notification screen, the one that tells you if you got a new message or email and you pull it down to see what the notification is .

Got another one now about blackjack

I think you have an app that is using air push to put ads in the notification area. Not "illegal", but universally disliked and I think Google is taking steps to prevent it.
Download Airpush Detector from the App store to find what app it is.

Thanks, I installed that on my old phone, but never used it as I was not sure what it was for.

Installed on new phone and it detected flashlight widget as the cause, so that have now gone off my phone, I hope the problem is solved.

I don't mind adverts inside apps, i realise they have to make their money somewhere if the app is free, but this Air push seems a bit dodgy.

I am glad google is going to do somethign about it.

Thanks once again.

Thanks I never knew that app existed.

I kept getting the air push notifications and couldn't find the app that was pushing them, so thanks for that, finally discovered 2 apps pushing the notifications and uninstalled then
