Asylum Of The Daleks - 10/10
Dinosaurs On A Spaceship - 9/10

A genuinely and surprisingly brilliant romp of an episode...i knew it would be a treat but it delivered in such a way...well ONLY Doctor Who can, absolutely sublime!

I mean it wasnt quite "perfect" Asylum has the standard set for me, but in comparison and as a standalone story there is so much fun to be had and demands rewatching also.

The pace was brilliant, i loved the elements of darkness amidst the fun and action, brilliant character driven stuff, some defining iconic moments were also had in there too Doc N Rory kiss/slap has to be a definingly hilarious moment, Brian Williams one liners with Rory and 11 also were brilliant, Amy had her own companions...with hilarious consequences! and all guns blazing Amy must always happen And another thing...poor poor Tracy the Triceratops .

But really really brilliant 9.10....cannot wait to visit A Town Called Mercy next week also

Asylum of the Daleks: 8/10
Dinosaurs On A Spaceship: 9/10

As per usual, I have reassessed AotD to an 8.... But gave DoaS 9, as it did what it intended... To entertain as much as it could!
On top of that, there was a good bout of story to give it a tad depth, too... Which kept me more interested, as well as a few giggles

The Silurian inclusion was, honestly, a pleasant surprise, and wasn't wasted, I thought.

Asylum of the Daleks - 9/10
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship - 5/10

Very disappointing episode - I wasn't expecting much and didn't get much. The supporting cast were good and Karen and Arthur particularly great, but the pacing, plot, tone and script all didn't work for me. I found the Doctor too out of character at times, the whole thing too busy, the dinosaurs (and riding them) just a bit childish and the robots annoying beyond belief. Points for some of the acting, the nods to continuity and continuation of arcs and hints from last week and a few of the jokes, but the rest of it I'm afraid was rather rubbish.

Asylum of the Daleks - 10/10
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship - 7/10

The episode was very timey wimey with its companions and aliens, which was good, but somewhat difficult to follow and unsurprisingly an inadequate follow-up to Asylum of the Daleks.

Funny, enjoyable episode. Strange mix of light and dark moments. Quite liked the Doctor killing Solomon and Brian Williams was a perfect dad for Rory.

Asylum of the Daleks I give 10/10. The best series opener new Who has done.

Dinasoars on a Spaceship I give 6/10. The story was dire but for the first time ever I genuinely liked Amy Pond. Shame her character has become interesting as she's leaving.

Asylum of the Daleks 9/10
Dinosaurs on a Spaceship 10/10

My initial reaction: Chris CHIBNALL wrote this? But... But... it's brilliant! The premise sounded ridiculous and could easily have been a lame episode, following Asylum of the Daleks. Mark Williams was superb, as was Solomon (sorry Filch actor, cant remember your name ). The Mitchell and Webb robots could have been a burden on the episode, but due to being used sparingly, were a great asset. The episode didn't get bogged down in dinosaurs, but got to the story in a timely manner. The Silurian reveal could have distracted from everything, but instead answered a few questions and made me feel for them once we learned what Solomon did to them. The only niggle I have is Nefertiti staying with the big game hunter, but overall I can forgive that, this is Moffat's Who after all, and time can be re written, as can the reputation of episode 2s, and after this (IMO) first truly spectacular Chibnall offering, I look forward to his The Power of Three with great anticipation. 10/10

Asylum Of The Daleks: 8/10 - Great stuff, really brilliant opener to the series.
Dinosaurs On A Spaceship: 5/10 - Very average, pretty poor script, but the acting and Rory's dad made up for it.

Queen Nefertiti disappeared from historical record, so I suppose it amused Chris Chibnall to explain her disappearance by saying that she travelled with the Doctor to the future and eventually ended up with a big game hunter in 1902, in the same way that in the First Doctor story "The Chase" its author, Terry Nation, decided to explain the mystery of the Marie Celeste by saying it was result of the Daleks landing on its deck.

I guessed this was the case, thanks for clearing that up. I do so love my history. It can't be rewritten, NOT ONE LINE!

Dinosaurs on A Spaceship 7/10 or 6.5/10
A Town Called Mercy 9.5/10
Brilliant! I didn't like Whithouse's previous contributions thought the Smith era, but this was amazing, Smith's performance was brilliant, and it was an all round classic.
