Can You Use An Orange Dongle Sim In An Orange Phone?

I've been offered a deal from Orange that includes 1.5Gb Data and a 2Gb Dongle. Having used the S3, Im now fairly sure that I could easily use more than the data allowance, but would probably have no use for the dongle. I never use my laptop on the move. Would there be any issue with using the dongle Sim in the phone? I'm on the verge of jumping ship to one of the unlimited data plans offered by others, but I don't really want to leave.

I was thinking of asking them to ditch the dongle and adding the data to the mobile contract so I'd get 3.5 Gb. Is there any revenue implication to them by me doing that? I assume data is data and the profit is the same wahtever the method. Is there some reason why that is not the case?

No you won't be able to use a dongle sim in a phone.

They can't combine data allowances however you could use the dongle sim for data use only (it'll have a voice and text bar on it) and you'd need to change the APN.

Best off moving to T-Mobiles Full Monty plan as that gives unlimited data and are the same company now.

Not sure if it will work for you, but I can put my T-mobile mobile broadband sim into my phone and it works.

All I do is put the dongle in the computer to activate the data plan, then I just put the sim card into my unlocked Orange San Francisco 2, and I can access the internet on it.

As an extra bonus too, I can use my mobile as a portable wifi hotspot, allowing me to go on the internet on a laptop without having to plug the dongle. This also allows me to place the phone in a place where it gets the best signal, and not have to worry about losing signal when I move to a different seat.
