Jill and Darren. Consistantly good dancers - got a 10 tonight - inject a lot of drama and storytelling into their dances - really put a lot of thought into devising them.

Also may have something to do with the fact I have something of a soft spot for Jill Halfpenny - always been one of my fave characters on the telly because she seems so 'nice' lol. Hope she doesn't get axed from 'Enders.

Jill and Darren.

Spectacular, have turned me into an addict of this show and I didn't even watch last year. I'd pay to watch them dance together. Talent, chemistry, superb choreography. Brilliant.

Failing that Denise and Ian, again, brilliant.

If Julian wins, I shall throw something at my TV. :

Jill and Darren to win. I really don't like Denise, I think she's really arrogant, so I hope Julian and Erin (who is just so sweet and has the patience of a saint) come second.

It's a real shame Aled was voted off, I loved watching his rehearsals and he worked so hard. I know Julian has as well - its such a shame that one couple had to go last night.

I don't think Denise is arrogant, but I have a soft spot for Jill because I think she is more "cuddly" :P

However, if Jill & Darren are to win, then they need to earn it by coming first with the judges. They will probably win anyway because of viewer indifference to Ian & Denise, but I want the couple with the highest judges score to win.

I would be delighted if Ian & Denise won, but it isn't going to happen so there is little point in wishing for it.

What about how hard Denise worked? I love the way people are throwing the word arrogant around. I bet peeps werent saying that when she was winning Gold for this fickle nation.

Denise and Ian definately. I know they've been accused of having no chemistry, but I think they look fantastic together on the dance floor. I like Denise's determination, which some read as arrogance. Also, although they're very very good, I find, for me, there's something bland about Jill and Darren. But when it comes down it it, just so long as it's not Julian I'll be happy. He's done fantastic, no doubt, but it's still a crying shame Aled, who was a complete non-dancer at the start and who'd made even more progress then Julian, isn't there.

Denise and Ian have been my faves from the start, but the amount of stick she would get for winning would be too much for anyone to take. Because she's had so much negativity, the majority of the public could not possibly be happy for her and would probably think its a fix. So on reflection, would rather Julian or Jill win, rather than Denise!!!

I'd like Jill and Darren to win. I have done all the way through (with Aled and Lilia)

I think Denise and Ian are fantastic dancing together - last week especially they shone, but the problem I think is that they are less charismatic than the others and seem incredibly serious in the rehersal footage, none of the laughs and banter, jokes and p-taking that you see in the others' montages - that lets them down and makes them come across as a bit staid, less approachable perhaps, maybe less like you and I? It comes back to the "which would you prefer to go to the pub with?" question which comes into most RTV shows, even the celebrity ones.

I love Julian and Erin too, they are so funny and try so hard. They should not win on their dancing, but I'm glad they stayed in even though it meant my other favourite, Aled, had to go - I'd have prefered Denise to go despite her being a better dancer.

I suspect we'll see:

1: Jill and Darren
2: Julian and Erin
3: Denise and Ian.

I don't want Jill and Darren do win so for that I will be voting for Denise and Ian as they have the best chance of defeating them. My first choice would be Julian and Erin to win though and they can only do that if they don't come last or if they do Jill and Darren come last in the viewer vote and J&E come first! (I think...does that make sense!!!)

Yep that makes sense and it could happen. I would like Julian and Erin to win but wouldn't be really gutted if they didn't. If Jill and Darren don't win then everyone will say they should win the Christmas Dance Off- Supreme Championship, because Jill is the best dancer. But if she does win SCD2 then people might think, well she's won that lets give someone else a chance. So I'm wondering if a bit of tactical voting is required if we want someone else to win, ie. Anton and Lesley, the Christmas Show. Now does that make sense!!?
I don't think Denise and Ian stand much of a chance of winning. They always seem to get the lowest viewer vote so unless there is a radical change on Saturday I'd be very surprised to see them lift that trophy.

Actually, as much as Brendan is a complete t*sser, I think he and Natasha are the best dance couple. What they were able to achieve in terms of dance routines was better than Jill and Darren (who are really, really good, but don’t do the lifts and extraordinarily complex footwork that Natasha did). Also, Natasha has Jill’s natural dancing flair, but also Denise’s elegance and extension on the dance floor. The combination makes her better, IMO. However, Brendan’s shitty behaviour this series will mean that they probably won’t win the Supreme Championship.

If the voting is for all three couples and on the same rules as all the other weeks (and there is no elimination of one couple like someone is claiming in another thread), then the couple finishing last in the viewer's vote cannot win the contest under any circumstances. Since that couple is likely to be Denise and Ian, they can't win. Either Jill and Darren will win if they win the judges vote, or Julian and Erin will win in a three way tie (unless by some miracle they don't finish last with the judges which would make them clear winners). So if you are planning to vote for Denise I'm afraid you are wasting your time and money, unless there is a massive change in the sentiments of the voting public compared to the last two weeks.

Thats fine but if more people vote for Denise and Ian then they won't necessarily come last. It is a possibility!!! (Anything to stop mechanical Jill winning!)

I have to agree with you there. It's such a shame as IMO Denise is the best dancer now, has improved the most over the weeks and is the most exciting to watch. I do enjoy watching Jill and Darren but it often feels to me that Jill is going through the motions if you like, while I always feel Denise gives it her all. It is a shame imo that the phone vote holds so much influence over the final result each week as it has tended to turn it into a popularity contest rather than a dancing competition which at the end of the day is what it is supposed to be! Obviously the Great British Public don't like someone who is confident, mistaking it for arrogance perhaps.

I think also that the fact that Denise is an athlete who is still actually competing may be a factor in her mind set - she is used to training to win - I should imagine the concept of "just for fun" is tricky for her grasp! I mean, she trained for years to get the necessary focus and self belief to step out into an Olympic stadium and compete - I should imagine (from the comfort of my armchair) that you don't win a gold medal by thinking - hey, second is good! Another thing as well, in her chosen sport it's quite clear cut, the one with the most points wins - she dosen't have to bother about pesky subjective stuff like "personality" - you go out, perform to the best of your ability, get the points and win or loose by your own efforts. From that point of view, I think she has done well to learn to perform as well as dance.

You're right...she is just a product if her upbringing and chosen career and noone should fault her for that!

Wow, I'm glad it isn't just me who finds Denise arrogant. All through the competition she has seemed rather stuck up to me. Meanwhile, getting back on the subject, I would also like Jill to win. Technically, she is the best dancer. Her footwork is perfect, her extension is beautiful, she has excellent body rhythm. Darren also manages to choreograph perfectly for her, making sure she looks just as good as him - they are dancing as equals. She always approaches each dance with excitement and enthusiasm, and to me it seems she is dancing with her heart. I was watching her Jive yesterday (it was voted most popular dance of the series) and I was amazed, I couldn't fault it at all. Remembering that it was only week 3 of the competition then, and since she has continued to get better and better. Her Paso last week was fantastic, I was so happy when she achieved that well-deserved 10.

I would just like to say that in voting, we must remember that we are voting for the best dancer and not our favourite celebrity. IMO, Denise lacks body rhthym and her footwork is near terrible, and Ian's choreography to me seems fairly boring. Julian deserves a medal for his effort, he has come so far and improved so much. However, he is not the best dancer in the competition, and it is questionable that he should even be in the final.

So finally, whoever you vote for in the end - let it be JILL!!!

!!!
a) It is not about voting for the only the best dancer...it is for those who you think is the best. (and who u like - hence the fact it has celebs in and not just pros) I personally like Denise best.....she is better than Jill due to the fact that Jill is so mechanical...there is no X factor (wrong show I know!) there at all and no chemistry....like with Denise and Ian there is a passion between them. Techincially I can't fault Jill but she has a big thing missing and that is that chemistry!

Well, if people voting on this poll can make Julian better by 6% than Denise they are not voting on the dancing. I voted for Jill because she is fantastically talented - I'd never heard of her before this series started, whereas I had knowledge of Denise and Julian. Best professional of the series would have to be Erin for doing as much as she has with Julian, but still they should be third. The fact that the voting system for the programme is completely ridiculous needs to be addressed before another series takes place ..... rants off into sunset.
