Indents for Doctor Who 50th Anniversary!

How would you create indents to celebrate the build up to 50 years of Doctor Who.

Personally I would like the BBC to do small fake promos for programs such as Eastenders, Accused, Silent Witness, Luther, but with a hint of Doctor Who incorporated.

Such as:

Eastenders: Shirley in the square screaming at Phil, but for a few seconds the TARDIS is behind her in the corner!

Luther: Police looking at a crime scene, Luther picks up a jelly baby!

Silent Witness: Nikki staggers in drunk from a party night out wearing a fez that somebody had given her.

New Tricks: Brian comes into the UCOS office wearing a large knitted scarf, which Gerry pokes fun at!

Inspector George Gently: George is walking along the sea front and it starts to rain, he spots a question mark umbrella and picks it up to use.

You get the gist!!

I think you mean "idents" not "indents".
Anyway, I hope we get some idents, and as long as they're nothing like this, I'll be happy.

Thanks TheSilentFez, I had actually written 'Idents' but MAC did not recognise the word, stupidly assumed I was wrong!!

God I hope not, that is awful!!

Waterloo Road: The Sontarans land, completely obliterate the place and everyone in it then leave.

Is she in it? OK then - the Doctor gets her away before the Sontarans turn up. (It's turning into a fairly elaborate ident.)

She used to be.

Once we're done with the hour long WLR ident, we head to Peckham, where Del Boy and Rodney are trying to flog the TARDIS.

Is that what Series 5 was all about then? Was there going to be Del Boy and Rodney looking at Uncle Albert and doing an Italian Job homage: "You were only supposed to blow the bloody doors off!"

I think doctor who will lend itself the bbc one circular identity. The tardis is full of circular roundels and the daleks from many different angles have round shapes making up their body and head. The time tunnel itself could possibly be used by the bbc promotion department when it embraces doctor who's 50th birthday as it has been with the programme through most of it history. The circular shape of the tunnel would then echo the bbc one circle

The idea of idents is a great one. I can actually see it happening, but probably more as johnnymc suggested with the TARDIS etc maybe being incorporated into the circular theme.

It's gonna be amazing, I can feel it

All depends on the story but they should do something a bit more than putting the Doctor in BBC programs, it has been done before. The could and I dont know how in my head yet transform 50 into BBC one, or use the 'O' as the vortex and at the end of it transforms into BBC One. Something that puts the heart of the program into the BBC One logo itself to showcase its importance and standing within the channel.
Also they could do a countdown of some kind, with 11 weeks to go to 50th, the First Doctor suddenly appears and the 'O' of One transforms over his face revealing BBC One. 10 Weeks to go, the Second Doctor and so on (These would be from the show itself of course). Simple yet effective. They could further this by the last week, when showing the 11th, have the BBC One logo crumble to pieces and a figure appear from the dark for a second (for example Davros, Master, a Dalek, Timelord etc... whoever the villian is in the 50th story)
