A Sony STRDE875 amp for £180. Sounds too good to be true. Richer Sounds are doing this amp at this price. Let me know your views etc. on it

In one of my magazines its retails at £300 so the price appears to be good. I have had two Sony amps and have been pleased with them, unfortunately, not this model so I cannot comment on it.

I have bought several things from Richer Sounds before and they have always been very good (Both the goods and the service received). Richer tend to sell end of line goods, hence the low prices. For things such as amps and speakers this usually isn't a problem as often the only differences to the latest and greatest are things like styling changes.
Not tried Sony amps myself, but sounds like a good deal on the price.

Just had a look at the Richer Sounds website and the amp you're talking about. It has a similar spec to my own Sony , the STRDB930. I've had this about 18 months or so now, and I am very impressed.

Sound quality is very good, and power output wise it's great. At that price, there's very little to beat it IMHO - go and buy one!

All my hi-fi kit has come from Richer Sounds. The staff have always been helpful, the prices are good, and most things I've bought have had their supercare warranty added on. Haven't looked at this recently, but it's one of the only warranties I've ever bought that it is actually of any use. It used to allow you to take back your kit within the supercare period to trade equipment in against new stuff to the value of 50% of what u paid for it.

I don't think you'll be disappointed by Richer Sounds, and you'll probably find that you won't buy hi fi kit anywhere else once you've bought from them.
