Philips DVDs

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone with experience of Philips DVD players can give me some buying advice on one to go for.

Reason is, I'm awaiting delivery of a new 32" Philips telly which I bought as a deal with a video and dvd included.

The DVD - Philips 612 - looks a pretty basic model and seems to only have one scart which would mean I couldn't daisy-chain my STB through it, so I was considering flogging this and replacing it with a better one.

I want to spend around £300 max and would appreciate any advice....only thing I definitely want to be sure of is that it has two scarts.

Both the Phillips DVD 712 and 762 have two scarts though more importantly only the 762 can output RGB; according to What Video and TV this retails at £250. I have no experience of Phillips DVD players so cannot comment on the actual machine.
