DS Soap Project
Here is my idea...
I think we should team up together and create our own soap here on the forum. And then after several 'episodes' have been posted on the forum we conduct a vote to see if it is more popular with forum members than any of the televised soaps! What do you think? |

Yeh I'm up for that, I have a lot of free time on my hands. My previous soap writing experience comes from March-April of this year when I penned a few episodes of Coronation Street on the Todd thread, for the Todd and Karl storyline lol

I guess I could help out...anyone working on a story bible or something yet?
What sort of soap would it be? What setting would it have? The traditional UK soap set in a street? Or a more US setting of two families, one rich, one poor? A medical soap? |

Cool thanks guys. Plot-wise, I'm not sure, that's why I need your help.
Post any ideas you have! Thanks! |

You're unlikely to get a response from these people as most aren't online.

This sounds fun! I already pen for four make believe soaps for a local magazine and some interesting plotlines come up, particularly this Christmas!!
I'd be happy to contribute! |

We all meet and discuss character ideas then we can all print off final character and setting lists then suggest storylines for each. Perhaps each person has their own set of characters to work on? Then we all discuss ideas, decide on what's going to happen then someone eash week can send the final version, whether in note form or script form? This is just a suggestion, dan what are your ideas?

my idea would be home and away meets neighours, a soap set on seaside with a neighours like street overlooking a bay in a british seaside resort.with families and individual characters. a balance of working and middle class, a villian.
A soap where even the milk man and postman is a character. There could also be a fantasy and escapism element. We could also have a holby city medical element and bill like policie work element. what matters is the effect of events on the characters. |
