Hmm, might have to introduce the half points rule if they include them say before Tuesday
![]() Runners up A: Croatia B: Denmark C: Sweden D: Romania E: Norway F: Portugal G: Greece H: Montenegro I: France Just looking at the results last night, there was barely any 'shock' results so I doubt I have had any advantage, but obviously it's up to you guys concerning points. |

As I say AC, the usual rule in these circumstances is to award half points for each correct one, trust that's not too harsh. As a concession, we'll round up in the event of an odd number of successes

10 players had gone for a Scotland win and 9 players went for a Serbia win. However, since it finished goalless it was the other 19 players who scored the points. Paul Chuckle was the only player to predict 0-0 so scores 5 points, whilst the other 18 players scored 2 points.
The top scores from the completed matches are now: DDRickyDD 50 digiremote 49 Terrence Chant 47 Chris MacL 45 Big Dipper 44 CTD101 44 EPY 42 charlieparr 41 clarky323 41 fab cesc 41 Xavier Quebeck 41 beth84 40 tso 40 Apple_Crumble 39 WoodsMonk 39 Realale 38 AZZURRI 06 37 DimSum 37 JMTD 37 Sabre92 37 Paul Chuckle 36 uls2000 36 AZZURRI 06 and DimSum have now scored points in 17 of the matches. |

The final match from the first set of fixtures sees 26 players going for a Denmark win, 9 players going for a draw and 2 player going for the Czech Republic. The most popular prediction is for a 2-1 Denmark win as 14 players have gone for that. A further 5 players have gone for them to win 2-0, four for 3-1, two players for 3-2 and one player has gone for a Denmark 1-0 win. There are 5 players going for a 2-2 draw and 4 for a 1-1 draw. The two players going for an away win have gone for different scores: one player has gone for Czech Republic to won 1-0 and the other has gone for 2-1.

No-one went for today's second goalless draw between Denmark and Czech Republic. However, beth84, Chappers67, Chris MacL, dean michael, familyguy8904, Hibs-kid-2007, neilwatson, Partyanimal and Thebenster did all predict a draw and scored two points

Just wondering, why can you predict the group runners-up but not the group winners?

^^ We are trying to have a bonus points system that will result in a varied set of predictions. We dont want one where everyone pretty much predicts the same (and scores the same) nor do we want one that will potentially lead to a small number of players vastly out-scoring all the others (and possibly skewing the overall winner). In some competitions we do ask for predictions of the Group Winners, but in others we go for the runner-up to slightly increase the variety of predictions
![]() Speaking of which this is how many predictions each country got as runners-up: Group A Croatia 15 Serbia 13 Belgium 8 Scotland 1 FYR Macedonia 0 Wales 0 Group B Italy 0 Denmark 27 Czech Republic 9 Bulgaria 1 Armenia 0 Malta 0 Group C Germany 0 Sweden 30 Republic of Ireland 7 Austria 0 Faroe Islands 0 Kazakhstan 0 Group D Netherlands 1 Turkey 29 Hungary 2 Romania 5 Estonia 0 Andorra 0 Group E Norway 11 Slovenia 10 Switzerland 15 Albania 0 Cyprus 0 Iceland 1 Group F Portugal 16 Russia 21 Israel 0 Northern Ireland 0 Azerbaijan 0 Luxembourg 0 Group G Greece 9 Slovakia 10 Bosnia and Herzegovina 17 Lithuania 1 Latvia 0 Liechtenstein 0 Group H England 0 Montenegro 8 Ukraine 18 Poland 11 Moldova 0 San Marino 0 Group I Spain 0 France 36 Belarus 1 Georgia 0 Finland 0 |

The second set of fixtures from the World Cup qualifiers gets under way with 2 matches kicking-off at 6pm our time.
Of the 24 matches tonight 17 of them feature a team that no-one predicted will win (there were only 10 teams without a win prediction in the first set of fixtures).* *There are 5 matches today where we have all gone for the same outcome compared to only 3 in the first set. Just 7 of tonight’s matches have each possible outcome being predicted, whilst 13 of the first 24 matches had at least one player predicting each outcome. Cyprus v Iceland Of the 35 players who have predicted for tonight’s matches 12 have gone for a Cyprus win, 15 for a draw and 8 for Iceland to win. The 1-1 and 2-2 draws are the most popular predictions as both have been predicted 7 times. 6 players have gone for Cyprus to win 2-1 and 5 for 1-0, whilst 4 players have gone for Iceland to win 2-1. Two players have gone for a 1-0 Iceland win, whilst each of the 0-0 draw, 3-0 Cyprus win and 2-0 and 3-1 Iceland wins have been selected by a single player. Israel v Russia No-one has gone for a home win here, whilst 13 players have gone for a draw and 22 for an away win. 13 players have gone for Russia to win 2-1, whilst 10 of us have gone for a 1-1 draw. Each of the 1-0, 2-0 and 3-1 Russia wins has been picked by 3 players. Two players have gone for a goalless draw, whilst player has gone for it to finish 2-2. |

2 more matches get under way at 6:30pm
Georgia v Spain I am sure it is not a very big surprise to find out that everyone has gone for Spain to win this one. 9 players have gone for a 2-0 Spain win, 8 for 3-0, 6 for 4-0 and three for a 4-1 win. Both the 1-0 and 5-0 wins have 2 players going for them. All of the other scorelines have only been predicted once each: 2-1, 3-1, 6-0, 6-1, 7-0 and 8-0. Romania v Andorra This is the second match today where we have all gone for the same outcome (a home win this time). Plenty of goals are expected in this match as well as 12 players have gone for Romania to win 4-0 and 7 for a 3-0 win. Both of the 5-0 and 6-0 wins have been selected four times, three players have gone for 2-0, whilst two players have gone for a 2-1 win. The 4-1, 6-1, 7-0 and 8-0 wins have all been chosen once. |
