Girls Aloud - Here We Go
Ash_735

OK, First Off Im not a girls aloud fan, but i found myself humming along to this song.
At first, i kept thinking "Ive Heared this sumwhere before", and i was, its the main theme of cartoon called Totally Spies that my sis watches.
The Words have changed, but the whole layout of the song is identical, and in a way its kinda sad that these teen pop heads think that this band have done this song and the tune is there own.
Myself, i just find it funny that a Group, would basically Copy a song from A Cartoon.
And for those who refuse to believe me, here is a link to song from the cartoon, which has been around alot longer than this song.

Girls Aloud are not the first act to release this song, it was the girl from Aqua's originally but never got a commercial release.

i am a huge fan of girls aloud, but i think it is a shame that they have done so many covers. i do think that covers have a role in music, but to do so many in only 2 albums, may go agains the band in the long run.
with this one you have mentioned, Stay another day, girls on film(album track),jump, and the CIN single, there has been 5 over all on the 2 albums.

That said, i do love the music and cant wait until the tour next year. Lets hope the girls management and record company encourage them to do less covers

i love it too, and i think the only reason they did it was for the film sound track

girls aloud are truly crap, they could not sing live if their familys lives depended on it, i could not belive the awful sound they made when they sang at the end of the children in need programme , and they get paid to assault ear drums , jeez it shows what a couple of pretty faces and low cut tops can do

It's the same with tv presenters, re Natasha Kerplunksky et al.
And it's goes for the girls with bands like Take That and Westlife etc.

There are far worse than GA about, and they do sing live and sing very well.
Nicola's version of 'shout' on popstars the rivals was specially amazing!

Oh they can sing alrite. They all proved that on Popstars The Rivals.

I think it is a bit stupid to say they cant sing.

Anyone can sing, some people are just better at it than others. Girls Alous are by no means bad singers, but they need to get out of their contract with Louis Walsh and get themselves new managers if they want to have long term meaningful careers. When Louis Walsh gets bored of you, your credibility is the first thing that suffers because you spin out cover after cover after cover. Look at Westlife.

Girls Aloud are rubbish. This song is awful. They cannot sing live....their voices give me a headache cause it is so out of tune. I don't understand why some people rate their new album, I've listened to it and it is so bad. Sorry, but they are one of the worse bands ever!

Do they write their own songs, when its non-cover versions ?

And i mean really write them, not just change a couple of words and get a song writers credit ( which apparently happens a LOT, these days)

If they are not writing their own songs, then whats the difference, everything they sing (or mime) is somone else's creation anyway

*shrug*

The thing about Girls Aloud which I find most surprising is that people complain that they cannot sing and always mime.

If you think back to Popstars The Rivals most people commented at the time that probably 9 of the final 10 girls were absolutely rubbish singers but that they were all very attractive girls !!! I remember saying at the time that I thought the group which was chosen was going to be all about style and appearance.

I think they look great and are very well produced. I think their concerts will be enjoyable so long as you don't expect too much from their singing.
