From their twitter account:

![]() There could possibly be (entire speculation) new limits on maximum films (think fair usage) - if you keep your old card, no limits locking you in for another 12 months when there may be a "standard unlimited card" soon ? "premium unlimited" implies there may be a cheaper "standard unlimited" card to follow Personally I think its probably expanding to inlcude 3d films for free without the £1.50 charge, but who knows.. |

I didn't get an email, but I saw on twitter that they'll just automatically send pictures out with the picture they have on file for you.

what would you think fair usage might be seen to be?
Sure it's nothing to worry about, just interested - I average 3 or 4 a week, this weekend I saw 6 - I don't think that's unfair usage, if you added up all the audience for all 6, it would have struggled to fill one decent sized "screen", so I'm not stopping paying customers getting in If it's just free 3d, it's no benefit to me because my eyes don't work like that - I see 2d wherever possible, not to save the extra 1.50 but because it's pointless and the picture quality with the glasses on is worse anyway Last edited by SWINDONNIGE : 17-09-2012 at 12:22. Yeah, limiting usage of the card would be madness. If they were going to do that it would be more sensible/more evil to limit the use of them at peak times rather than by number of films seen.....
Hopefully we'll see advance booking on unlimited cards (which actually used to be possible - there was a dedicated phone line for a while). I wouldn't be fussed about a discount on food and drink and the sooner 3D goes away again the better, but I guess dropping the 3D tax wouldn't be a bad thing. |

They aren't going to limit the cards. If they did they would need to rename them to begin with as they would no longer be Unlimited.
I'm sure it's not really much of a problem anyway. There are probably people like myself who may not go for a month, then go see 4-6 films another month. Then they are others who go every day. But it probably all balances out in the end so they aren't making a loss. Plus as others have said if the screens are half full, Unlimited card holders aren't taking a "paying" seat away from them if you will. Plus more eyes on the screen surely means they can charge more for the ads before the film. |

I wasn't saying they will limit, it's just bizarre that they aren't telling us anything at all, yet asking us to change and sending cards out already... |

Looks like Cineworld unlimited are announcing the details of what the premium upgrade will include on monday at noon at Facebook. Just seen it on my facebook page for cineworld. It says they will reveal whats coming up soon for their most loyal members. So what can it be? As others have said it must be scrapping the 3D "uplift" as they like to call it.

Premium card is to reward long subscribers so useage thing is nonsense, it's going to be perks and benefits, like maybe no extra 3d, maybe cineword have teamed with an entertainment store that might give us money off some new dvd's

I have not received an email to tell me about the premium card.
When I went to see a film the weekend Madagascar 3D previewed and was told that the film I planned to view was not available. The manageress told me about the premium card. It was due to start in November. She told me that the perks will include a 20% discount on food/drink, free access to 3D films (though glasses will not be free. I expect these bits of plastic will increase in price) and tickets can be booked in advance. When i told her that i had not received the email, she said ring the customer services number on the card.So far I have not bothered to apply and I think the change of policy on 3D films is because Cineworld did break an agreement that wherever possible a 2D print will be also be available. Over the last couple of years a 2D version is a rarity. Being Mr Paranoid I also think this new 'premium element' could be a way to change some of the terms and conditions |

How long have you been Unlimited, Braindead? The new card is only being sent out to members who have been with unlimited for over a year.
I'm just happy I got to change my God awful picture! |

Just seen the email from Cineworld covering the details but it didn't mention advanced booking.
I hope this does come, fed up having to plan an evening around getting tickets for a busy film. |

I agree that the lack of advance booking is irritating, but in reality I find that there are very few films for which you can't just turn up on the evening and get tickets. I even found this to be the case for Skyfall. |

I just got the email today about it which was included in the Unlimited newsletter, 25% off food and drink and free 3D movies after 12 months, but I've already been with them for about 2 years so I do hope I get the premium service sooner rather than later which I should do according to their Twitter.

It's not really to do with not getting tickets, it's to do with the queue. On a busy evening it's massive at my cinema, with it going right out the door often.

![]() I heard somewhere they used to have ways available to us Unlimited cardholders for bookings, but people were taking advantage of it etc and so they removed it. |
