Favourite EastEnders character
Who is everyone's favourite EE character?
Mine would have to be Cindy Beale, I don't know why the chose to kill her off in prison, that was a really bad move IMO. My biggest Cindy memory is when she hired the hitman to shoot Ian, those were some fantastic scenes. Also her affair with David Wicks was one of the most captivating soap-affairs I have seen. I wonder if they could bring her back from the dead too? ![]() I also loved Tiffany. I remember when she first arrived and I used to fancy her haha then all the stuff with her and Tony Hills. I remember the episode where Grant had tried it on with her, and she went running round to the flat that Tony shared with her brother Simon, and she walked in and they were at it! She then ran straight back to the Vic and into Grants arms Tiffany also provided us with an even more chav-like baby name than Beyonce Alesha...Courtney! I think that Tiffany's death was another mistake, however it was necessary to bring closure to the storyline. They don't make 'em like that anymore! |

I agree, I felt so disappointed with Cindy's death - why couldn't they wait until Michelle Collins was available again for filming? I don't know why they had to rush it, and in my opinion wasted one of the best characters in EastEnder's history.
Tiffany - I agree that her death did fit in with the storyline, I still get shivers down my spine when I see that clip. My fav current female character has to be Sharon. Fav current male character is Alfie My fav female ex-character has to be Angie! her and Den were th ebest Fav male ex-character has to be Grant, we need a character like him back in the soap. |

Yes Janine was great because although she became quite unbelievable towards the end, you could normally always understand why she changed the way she did.

Fav females - Pat & Dot equally their characters are totally convincing.
Fav male has to be Ian, for convincingly seeming like a prat for 20 odd years (how does he do it?).

Hmm I think my faves have to be
Billy and Little Mo (BLESS THEM! I hope Beeb doesn't split them up again )Ian Beale - His charcater is just so good, he can change from the nicest guy to the nastiest! Janine - She was a BRILLIANT actress and such a cleverly crafted character Sharon - She's so gutsy and beautiful and just a great character ![]() And it has to be said... I'm also growing rather fond of Minty

I adore Sharon-I hope she returns next year, it would be such a waste if she left permanently!
Also agree that killing off Cindy was a bad idea! she was great-it seems eastenders can do the bit*h characters really well! Janine, Cindy...I even think Stacy given time will begin to shine! As for male characters, I used to like Mathew Rose and Trevor, but have to admit I've always thought the female characters of Walford are much stronger-even Kareena is much better than some of the male acting in the soap! |

My top three are
1) Dot Cotton 2) Ethel Skinner 3) Arthur Fowler Realistic characters who could do both comedy & tragedy and keep us glued to our sets every time |

It has to be Tracey. Very loyal to whoever is running the Queen Vic. Always polite to customers. Never says nasty things about anyone.

Current favourite is Pat Evans
Favourite of all time has got to be the original Den. They have sullied the memory by bringing him back, but when you think about the character back then, he was way up there with the best that EE have ever done |

They had to kill off Cindy, so that Ian could carry on and have another life as a serial proposer
. I was quite pleased to see her go, I never rated Michele C much (mind you, against some of the current EE acting, she looks positively Shakespearian ).My favourite character is Ian, because as someonelse said, Adam W has really made him his very own - a pratt yes, but a very well-realised one, a rounded and complex person who is one of the few convincing characters in EE ![]() Also very fond of Chrissy, although I don't know if I should mention her as a favourite as she hasn't been around for that long, and may have a sudden and horrifying personality transplant like Laura or Lisa .

BCJ, if you have nothing sensible to add to this topic - don't even bother posting.
I'd say my favourite characters have been Paul, Janine, Pat, Jane, Chrissie, Tiffany and Sonia. |

Probably Ian Beale, as has been said he's a fully developed, complex individual who I actually believe could exist.
Other than that, in a very shallow fashion for I am a shallow woman, I'll go for Joe Wicks, anyone who could wear a tin foil hat and still look that cute gets my vote
