Come on, as I mentioned before, I have a hard time believing someone who would waste £1000 on flying a hat first class genuinely gives a toss about anyone but himself. Every speech he makes seems to be calculated to make him look as saintly as possible. At least Geldof blatantly says "I want your money for this." and damns the consequences. And as far as I know, all I have seen Bono do is tell other people what to do with some inflated sense of importance. "...Thank you for listening. I've been Bono. End third world debt.....The new album is out this monday, peace!"

And for whoever said I was complaining about spending the money for the single, have you not been reading what I said? I am against the concept of Band Aid, not giving to charity. I am against people only feeling guilty enough to give a shit once a year when they are "reminded."

I live in Ireland and seemingly Westlife are pissed off because they were not asked to sing on it and other less successful groups were. Thats what Louis Walshs problem is.

It's a travesty of the original song anyway. Why bring in Westlife when Dizzee Rascal ruined it to start with? Joss Stone's so called 'abstract' crooning at the end - I didn't hear anyone do that or rapping on the original. Perhaps in 1984 they were more concerned about making a charity record than making a name for themselves. I still hope that this Band Aid 20 thing is someone's idea of a bad joke and they'll tell us the punchline, which hopefully will be a better version of the song.
The problem is there is never a perfect line up for something like this. I suppose Louis Walsh is too engrossed in the next recycled rubbish he and his bands want to peddle out next.
Personally, I'll go and buy the Live Aid DVD and donate a tenner to a homeless children's charity.

Louis is missing the point, the idea is for people to buy 1 or more of charity cd. It doesn't matter want is on the cd as long as it fills a bit of space

Maybe the artisits involved could also donate a fraction of their 2004 album sales to the cause... it's all relative on what people earn... not like they can't afford it!
