Chasing The Saturdays was the #1 most viewed show on E! with it's debut attracting 72,000 viewers.

Higher should have been "their song"
Why on earth was it a post album song which got to #10. When it should have been the song used to start the new campaign. It also wasn't the best time to release a happy summery song in November was it lol. If Higher was a pre album song released in June/July it could have done far better imo. |

They need more then a big hit, they need for someone to see they they aree something special and that they will be together in 5 years. These girls are not getting younger, bands like the ones you mentiond, Spice girls Destiony's child etc by the time they were the sats age had hits or world fame. Most even went their own ways even if for a while. End of the day the big producers always want their next big thing who they are young and who they can develop. like said before They should have been sent to US much earlier then now. Its no shame if they don't crack America most have tried and failed, look are JLS. Quote:
Not a shock that would be that huge on E over here as they have a good following and people are tired of most e stuff anyways. |

Apparently it's rare for a show to reach over 60,000 on E! in the UK so 72,000 is pretty awesome. |

They should have gone over in 2009 or even 2010 when they were still making pop songs and not trying to do the whole dance thing. Rochelle and Una weren't married then either. The irony of that is that one of the Saturdays is married to a JLS member!

Thing is they should have gone there as "Single Sexy babes" types. And as someone says back then, they were our biggest girl group and could have made a big impact tbh. |

I still believe that with the right song they can make it in the States, the problem they keep having is that they keep picking the wrong songs to promote themseves with!
I imagine that had they released great tracks like Up, Ego and Higher to launch their album campaigns with, as well as releasing songs like Faster and Get Ready Get Set as singles from On Your Radar, we'd be talking about a much bigger and more successful group right now. |

Una's done her own acoustic of the WAU B-Side ''somebody elses life'' ^ i quite like the fact theyve gone over there as married and mums.. I think that's a much better role model than say the pussycat dolls, IMO. |

Apparently Vanessa's vocal problems may be due to throat cancer. Either that or it's just a way of exaggerating to attract more viewers to the next episodes of the show.
There's a fake version of What About Us on the UK iTunes at #498 and apparently they have something "special" lined up for Comic Relief this year (so hopefully a performance on the main show). They're also on This Morning tomorrow. |

I wouldn't blame Shadow for that cancer post. There are articles all over the internet about how doctors have found abnormal masses in her throat, and sometimes that symptom can be a sign of throat cancer. It obviously isn't, otherwise that would have been reported by now. I just hope that these masses can be removed in time, so she can get that amazing voice back!

There is only so much of "I believe with the right song....." / "I believe if they went to america a month earlier...." / "I believe they need another song to help them do it....." etc.
The truth is : The Saturdays make average pop! Few of their songs are actually any good. Infact it does seem that their management got it all wrong from the start. I remember seeing The Saturdays perform Issues (Acoustic Version) for T4 - I though WOW a girl band who can sing live, play instruments & are hot!! Then, BOOM!!!!!!!! We get dance/pop (same old generic songs) that everybody else is doing! They should have released a single that actually showcased their talents instead we got a collection of "hits" that sounded the same as the previous "hit" I believe The Saturdays could have been massive but I also believe it's too late! |

Where did you hear that? As for the show I've given up watching it as it just seemed desperate to me.

No, it didn't, the ratings for Episode 4 won't be out until next week and E! UK has probably never reached 1m viewers. The UK ratings so far are:
Episode 1 - 72k Episode 2 - 62k Episode 3 - 107k They're high ratings for E! UK - Episodes 1 and 3 were the most watched shows on the channel for the whole week, Episode 2 was the second most watched after red carpet coverage of the BAFTA Awards got 64k. 107k is particularly impressive as nothing except the Kardashians has ever broken the 100k mark. Now that TOWIE is back, the ratings will probably drop, though. |

The dance thing isn't helping either.
