Bear in mind that the Lumia 800 won't be getting Windows Phone 8.

But this is a great deal - if you aren't bothered by the above then go for it. I love mine.

Thats a good point but i have heard that the Lumia 800 is due a software update around the time windows phone 8 comes out

Thanks am not really that bothered by the above the deal looks too good to miss out on,especially most Mobile networks currently want a hefty upfront payment and up to £20 a month on contract.

No upfront fee and £12.50 a month for 250 mins and 5,000 texts, and 500mb internet, plus Talkmobile operates on the Vodaphone network sounds all good to me.

Yeah the Lumia 800 will be getting Windows Phone 7.8 - this will give the phone the new start screen of Windows 8 but few (if any) of the other new features.

At the price i can live without the new features and save a bundle mate.

Good stuff, just wanted to make sure you were going in with your eyes wide open.

Enjoy it, it's a great phone.

I did a similar one for my mum - the Lumia 710 for £7.50 a month, all other details same as your deal. I couldn't even get a sim-only close to the value of this contract.

I too was aware of WP8 being literally round the corner, but I figured this is why the 710 is now so cheap and I figured the new WP8s coming wouldn't be this cheap and my mum has very simple needs: calling, texting, email and music.
