Letitia Dean V. Denise Van Outen
I was really pleased to hear that KH is trying to persaude Letitia to return after her 6 month break(see Sunday Mirror). If she does return why on earth bother with Denise? Sharon is a golden oldie that lends stability to the show. The succession of new facesthat are planned are likely to throw the whole programme into confusion and more often than not their acting is crap. Look at Patsy Kensit in Emmerdale for example!! What do others think?

Yeh but just because Patsy Kensit is crap doesnt' mean the new faces that join EastEnders will be.
I too am delighted that Kathleen is trying to pursuade Letitia to come back as she's one of my fave characters, I was delighted when she came back in 2001. Now I've said this Shannis business is crap, but thats why I'm glad she's leaving for six months and hopefully coming back. 3 The Producers have a specific role in mind for Denise Van Outen. I think she'd be a good addition to the soap. I'm not big on the soaps signing known faces, but I think Denise would be great for the Square the more I think of it. Plus EastEnders needs a new influx of strong female personalities. They've got the ball rolling with Jane and Chrissie, lets keep it going. Also Kat will be back at the end of March. So far I'm liking what I hear about EastEnders plans for 2005. |

I think it's good if Letitia stays and with the whole love triangle with the Mitchell brothers. Good KH plans so far..

Letitia Dean should not return to EE. I'm sick of her 10 facial expressions. I'm sick of the faraway concerned look and the pout.
Denise would at the very least a fresh face on the show. Its time EE shaped up. There are some great characters in the show, full of life and at times very funny. But Letitia / Sharon is not one of them. This need by producers to keep going over and over old ground is crap. |

Watching the omibus this week I couldn't help feeling that Sharon's time in EE is has just about run its course. Maybe it's the neverending Sharon/Dennis mess, I haven't watched regularly for months, but everytime I catch an episode it's the same bloody conversation with one or the other saying they can be together, and the other saying no, there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it anymore and it's made no progression during the entire length of the storyline. Thank the lord its over come Xmas.
Whether the six month break will give us all a break and provide her character with fresh impetus when she returns remains to be seen, but what I have noticed over this neverending tedious storyline is what a limited actress Letitia appears to be. |

If Denise Van Outen joins Eastenders I will NEVER watch it again and will spend the rest of my life trying to get it taken off air.

I do quite like Sharon though - in particular I love the new Evil Shazza, they ought to give her more of the manipulative minx role, she was always good at that when she was a teen, and still is. I just can't stand it when she's passive and pathetic. Denise VO - from what I've seen, can't act, but if it's a shortlived and limited role it shouldn't be too painful. |

lol You don't know that yet MrFreeze, she hasn't started yet, if indeed shes' starting at all
![]() I too like Evil Sharon, well not evil but manipulative and getting what she wants. The writers made her far too passive and pathetic, I'm glad she's leaving though. Its unlikely that if she does come back Kathleen Hutchison will revive Shannis. And if she does, they'll be together and thats that, no Zoe's or other girlfriends in the way. |

Well maybe when Sharon returns she is with someone/married, plus we hopefully would have seen over the 6 months Dennis getting over her and moving on as well.

No, I don't think it would be far fetched really, they already know each other so they could realistically get it together in that timespan. As long as she doesn't remarry Phil, I'll be happy

this will obviously be a totally new situation. shannis will end by then. dennis will prob have a new woman and grant and sharon were a great couple. besides grant will have lots of other storylines, his mother and sister will be on the show. by the way, i wonder where this will leave kate?, if she does stay |
