Is it possible to create two @gmail addresses and log in the the same/one google acco
For the last 643728 years I have used an @live.co.uk address to login into my google account
after buying android phone it wouldn't let me login using non-gmail address the phone is a brick without a google login so i just made one up now the stupid system has associated this new stupid@gmail to my proper @live.co.uk google account there is no way to dis-associate these two account now - so i;m wondering Is it possible to create two @gmail addresses and log in the the same/one google account with both/either? |

Nope, not possible.
Not sure what you mean about associating one gmail account with a live account though? What's the actual problem? Live.co.uk is Microsoft, not sure how or why gmail.co.uk has anything to do with it You can quite easily create a second gmail account, put that on your phone and switch to using that one instead for Gmail, Play, Calendar, Contacts etc. You won't be able to get rid of the original one, unless you factory reset the phone. |

Seems a lot of peeps dont actually realise you can create/login to a google account with non-google address (I use @live.co.uk) - on my proper PC
When I had android ICS it was no-problem - just logged into google via me@live.co.uk and it was fine now i have gingerbread OS and it wont let me do that - hence i created I bogus gmail address just to use the phone didnt realise it would associate this bogus address with my proper google account (i assumed it would create a new account) So now Im left with a google account with all my stuff in it including my 4738294729 year old You tube account with this stupid@gmail.com address I was just trying to bury it with a better gmail address but if i cant i'll have to live with it or trash it |

I'm afraid you're stuck. You definitely cannot have two @gmail's going to one account, as many name-changers and Apps users have found!
UNLESS... and this really is a long shot... can you close your @gmail account without affecting your @live stuff.... and then just sign up for a new @gmail address to associate with your @live one? I'm not saying it will definitely work, but this http://support.google.com/accounts/b...answer=1728595 and this https://support.google.com/mail/bin/...n&answer=61177 suggest it might |

I have 4 different email addresses, 2 of them are Gmail addresses. I used my Gmail account to link them all together, now all I have to do is login to one account to receive and send emails for all of them.

Thats not what he's talking about... but yes, there's no reason why you can't have one gmail account collecting email from others

There are three ways to log in to a Google Account
1. Without signing up for Gmail. This lets you use things like Docs and YouTube without having an @gmail address 2. By signing up for Gmail and getting an @gmail address 3. By signing up for an Apps account, using your own domain with Google's services, including Gmail. The OP had only ever used option 1, but when he got a new phone it forced him to create an @gmail address. For reasons known only the OP, he chose a nonsense email rather than a useful one. That @gmail address is now irrevocably associated with his existing Google Account. |
